Default Clemens, McNamee and the Mitchell Report Hearing

As a future strengh and conditioning coach McNamee gives the business a bad name. Also on that note Congress needs to get there noses out of this. There are more important issues to be dealt with, the war etc. Remember this is supposly about the children. But to me it is not talking about the kids at all! One representative just asked about Clemens workout routine. I dont think that has any meaning for the kids. This is just ridiculous!!!!!!

What is everyones though on this hearing and should congress be involved.

Also, congress is involved with the SPYGATE(pat's cheating) today as well!!

I think it's ridiculous that Congress is sticking their noses in this. I will say though, Clemens got hammered today - he looked AWFUL! This just needs to go away, hey, I know. Spring Training starts tomorrow!!!! Woohoo!!!!

The MLB players are just scapegoats for the whole steroid deal. First off, it's not a big deal, but people make it out to be. It's a victimless crime.

But, these players were basically pressured into using steroids, because MLB did nothing about it 20+ years ago like they should have. They looked the other way to allow players to juice to get inflated stats and more asses in the seats.

The players are the ones who are the victims in all this. They get used by MLB, they use potentially harmful substances on their bodies, and then they are thrown to the wolves for doing something "wrong" and "immoral." Then all their achievements are marked in the record books. These people's jobs were to play baseball. That's how they got their money. If they didn't use steroids, they wouldn't get the $ because they couldn't compete with the players who WERE using.

The US is ass backwards on so many things.

Alco has it right. Steriods weren't illegal in baseball when Clemens allegedly took them. In fact because of the 94 season they needed the long ball to put butts in the seats.

I'm having a real hard time understanding why congress is involved in this. Does our governement need ratings? What will they accomplish when this is all done. They need to get back to doing their day job. This is stupid and a waste of my money.

Why would he even say that. Is he trying to put the idea out in play or what? This things needs to stop. Pitchers and catchers are reporting this week. I'd rather focus on the game itself.

I get so angry every time I hear or see coverage about the Congressional hearing. We have people dying in Iraq and Afghanistan, the economy is in a steady downward spiral, people are losing their homes and jobs at an alarming rate, fewer people in the US have health care coverage than any other developed nation in the world, genocide in Darfur, Myanmar, and Somalia. . . . and our government is worried about what some guys injected to play a game. They're all sitting around wondering why Congress's approval ratings are so low.
