(it can be argued that ratings are steady/going up because people aren't going, but the amount of people who would go to a race on a week to week basis that are staying home really isn't that much)

Lap 83 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 4: Big crash coming out of Turn 11 at the entranc of pit road. Multiple cars have heavy damage. David Gilliland and BobbyLabonte suffered the worst damage. Michael McDowell makes contact with Gilliland coming out of the turn, and Gilliland bounced off the wall into traffic. Labonte slammed Gilliland, and others were collected.

I'm going to theorize that they were going to read right at where everyone else was (therefore making the spacer purposeful) and wanted their horsepower to read lower; notsomuch that they were still ahead of the game with their horsepower and wanted it to be equal.
