Wow, giants definitely derseved it, and the defense closed shop on Brady.

Ok, thats all.

And Manning gets the MVP? At least they could have given it to Buress who actually earned it. Manning? C'mon....

How about more like the Giants defense? Too bad they never single out a key defensive player. Eli and Plaxico played really well, but the D just shut down the highest-scoring offense in NFL history.

True enough. You're 100% correct.

Terry, Burress had 2 catches on about 6 balls thrown to him. Made the game winning catch, but I'd give the MVP to Tyree for that ridiculous catch and 2 other catches for a total of 43 yds, Smith for some big third down catches and 5 for 50yds, or Toomer for a 6 for 84 yd performance before I gave it to Burress. And I'd definitely give it to the Giant Defense first. How bout Tuck with 6 tackles and 2 sacks? Mitchell had 8 tackles, a sack, and great pressure all night.

QB is the easiest MVP to crown and you gotta give Eli credit for leading that drive.

Before the last drive, I would have given it to a D-lineman... probably Tuck.

But Eli deserves it after that least drive... especially for escpaing the rush on throwing a dart to Tyree on the play of the game.

By the way, didn't Neil (kingkop) stand to win big money on a Giants win? I haven't seen him post yet.

Edit: Never mind... It's in Ian's Eli thread.

Second ...

Burress was a non-factor in this game until he made one catch. Manning's Houdini out of a potential sack was the biggest play of that game ... seconded only by the Tyree's catch on the throw.

I agree...that last drive for the giants is going to be a classic. They should name it

That play was amazing. If it wasn't somebody on the defense it should have been Manning of Tryree for that play. The man caught the ball off his head.

My Giants won it!! As a long time, this is absolutely amazing.

The defense was just historic. In the end my Giants showed up to end it for the Pats.

As a New York sports it's great to see a Boston, or rather Mass team, take it.

I think manning deserved it, and that pic wasnt his fault, hit smith right in the hands and he bobbled it upward.

I think Eli stepped up when he had to and made the clutch plays when the chips were down. Eli moved the ball down field in the last 2 minutes of the SUPERBOWL down by 4 and HAD to score a TD and he pulled it off.

Eli Manning did what most kids dream of doing.
