Default Here's to hoping...

... that no key players get hurt for tonight's winning team. I want to see a healthy Green Bay against the Patriots.

Brady picked a good day to play his worst playoff game: the same game in which the opponent's superstar doesn't play. Must be nice to get all the breaks. Let's not give him ANOTHER!

Likely not, although "the old man coming back for one last hurrah" may sound good to the ears of the NFL big-shots. Watch for a few questionable pro-Favre calls in the 4th quarter. They might allow this to be a good game!

It's all about the commercials and half-time show anyway. Wonder if Prince and his "guitar" will be invited back this year?

Yeah, the game is gonna suck. I'm disappointed.

Why do you think the game is going to suck? The Giants gave the Pats a run for their money in the last game of the season.

Of course, I know almost all Super Bowl games have sucked.

I was looking forward to Favre having a shot at the Patriots, and now I will have to cheer for the Pats. Theres no way I want the Giants to win.
At least a Manning will lose

Well, when you're routing for both teams to lose, it's hard to see how there can be a good outcome. All I have to look forward to are some funny commercials and a lame halftime show.

And yeah, it's generally a let down.

God, when I was there, I almost got my ass beat just for asking a bar if they were going to be showing the Super Bowl there. I watched the Steelers and 'Hawks on a half static TV with no sound!

Another vote for a sucky game ... the Pats are going to roll through the Giants secondary.

And Tom Petty at halftime? Aye yi yi ... ever since The Wardrobe Malfunction, we've been faced with safe, safe, safe ... I don't even think Petty has nipples.

Yes indeed. They needed a Manning, eh? Ok, they got a Manning. I thought for sure it'd be Favre, going out with a bang... but then, he already has a ring. I've never liked Eli. Do they have a chance? Sure, I guess. When has it ever happened that brothers won back-to-back Super Bowls? Makes a good headline, no? Yeah... but it's like a young actor getting his first Oscar nomination: give him the recognition, but the award still goes to the perenial favorite. After he gets ring #4, THEN maybe little Eli can win his first. Right now it's his "Wait, you don't just do comedy? You can ACT?" nomination.

You know ... for Favre to end the season on a pick, though ... that means we're going to put up with another off-season season of Will He or Won't He pondering from columnists ... and then he'll come back and we'll have to endure another season of 'he's so great,' 'he's so tough,' as he throws one huge pick after another.
When will we be saved?

first the g men havewon 10 strait on the road, second Eli has been the best performing QB in the post season(sorry pats fans, 3 ints in the division championship is bad, eli hasnt thrown one all postseason), third their secondary is healthy again, madison, fourth the pats BARELY beat them. Oh did I mention the G men has the best D line is all of football?

should be a GREAT game.

the reason the game will suck is this; lets say the pats win as every bookie in the country is predicting they will. it will be a boring and predictable outcome. and conversely lets say NY plays their heart out and pulls off an upset. well i can only think of one team i would want to win the SB less (the cowboys). so if the giants win, that sucks, if the pats win, thats boring. so i am stuck pulling for the pats (which isnt something i thought i would ever say) bc i would rather have a boring game than listen to all the jawing the giants fans will do.

That's either:

#1 - A fake limp and cast, in order to build on his "mystique": "Remember when he played the Super Bowl with a broken foot?" [After all, he can't be beat out by Rivers playing with the busted up knee!]

#2 - The "one-white-sandle" signal of the gay community.

#3 - He has a bum toe, and they're being extra careful right now.

#4 - That's a look-a-like, not really him.
