I miss him. Without him, we don't have a dman that can be a quarterback of sorts. Martin and Oduya have shown flashes of brilliance but thats with nifty moves to gain the zone and make a shot on net. Rachunek can sometimes drive the net and capitalize on someone else's work. White is not an offensive threat. Salvador isn't either. Mottau hasn't played well as of late. Vishnevski is a bruiser, not a playmaker. Greene, Brookbank, the same: not much offense.
Without Elias, we really don't have a playmaker. Parise can put the puck in the net, but he doesn't have the skills to create himself or for others that Elias has. Gionta scored all his goals just parking himself in front of the net and finishing the plays that Gomez (::shudders: and Elias created. I have to say that I had high hopes for Zajac and he hasn't lived up to them. Mad Dog and Pando are doing their magic again and Sarge is Sarge. I love Sarge. Langenbrunner I like as el capitan. Clarkson brings energy and really makes me forget that he's a rookie. I have to say I'm starting to like Zubrus and Rupp together. That kid Tallackson they brought up is big too. I'd like to see a 6'5" line of those three
Just some inner ramblings of my brain.

Philly actually kept Malkin in check last night. There were some rumblings that Malkin might be injured---he sort of looked like he wanted to avoid body contact. Crosby was much better.
Detroit is pretty deep in talent too. Franzen's out yet I'm not sure it will even matter.
I like Pittsburgh. Not really, but Wings-Pens should be a good series to watch. Malkin seems a bit timid as of late, but Crosby has stepped it up and Hossa is, IMO, the strongest skater in the league. Fleury is playing hot and Conklin is more than capable of coming up big in a pinch, just like Osgood has. Hoping for that series to work out. Battle of the big guns.

I'm here. I'll light a car on fire on your behalf when we win!
Nice! In '97, we headed straight to Gratiot after the game and it was a virtual parking lot. People were running all over the place high-fiving and honking horns.

Nothing beats a championship night!
In '97 I was living in the city, not far from the Joe. It was complete insanity. I'll miss that this year.
Frick'n signal was down so I didn't get to see anything. F***K'n Comcast!!!
Oh, that would be a dealbreaker.
That was one amazingly crazy game. Fleury sure got a workout. That goal by Talbot at the end of the 3rd was a killer. Okay...so we win it in Pittsburg.
