You bronco fans crack me up. how can you be excited about putting in a rookie qb who couldnt even bring his COLLEGE team to a 500 record? Way to wipe your ass with the rest of your season shanahan.

I dont think Plummer deserved to be benched. However down here in S.E.C. country I heve gotten to see my fair share of Cutler and the guy can play. I expect him to be a great N.F.L. quarterback.

Even tho Vandy sucks, Cutlers a good QB. It's hard to make plays in college when there is hardly any talent surrounding you. Plummer is not going to lead the Broncos to a Super Bowl. He was making rookie mistakes. If he's going to make rookie mistakes, why not put in a rookie who is going to be the QB of the future and get him valuable experience? I'm not sure Cutler is going to solve all the Broncos' problems, but hey, why not?

I think Cutler gets a pass on that. His college team was Vanderbilt. And actually, I thought they were fairly respectable his senior year. Weren't they?

I was at the Chiefs/Broncos game and didn't think Plummer played all that bad. Not great, but not bad either. The Broncos running game sucked and that's what killed them. And what's happened to their defense the past few weeks?

Still, I predicted in the pre-season that Cutler, Romo and Jason Campbell would be starting by week 10. I was off only a little.

Expecting a rookie quarterback to guide a team to the playoffs with just five games left in the season is a stretch. However, Plummer wasn't cutting it.

What people are overlooking is the lack of a running threat from the Broncos. As long as Tatum Bell is still out (and even if he's in), defenses don't have to be scared of the running game. I know Shanahan thinks he can bring backs out of the closet, but Mike Bell and Damien Nash aren't going to cut it.

If the Broncos have a running game, Cutlah will do alright. But the lack of running game and the falloff of a defense that was stellar at the beginning of the year is going to be this team's downfall, not the quarterback position.

A better passing game with Cutler should help out our running game. I'm not saying he is going to light it up, but we will make the playoffs and be the only team in a while to have a rookie QB starting in the playoffs. Plummer is a C average QB, so he should be starting in Cleveland or Minnesota next year if he is lucky.

Cutler's not doing too bad. He was a first rounder (11th pick I think). He threw a pretty bad interception that led to a score for Seattle, but other than that he's doing okay.

I wish Nutt would take a chance like that and put Mustain in the game. Some coaches understand that you need to shake things up.

Seattle's having a rough season anyway, and it looks like their QB is working with a bad hip tonight, which can't be fun in 18 degree weather.

Denver does have a great running game, so even a rookie who can connect every now and then would make them a lethal opponents.

Hasslebeck is really having a rough night! Poor guy. Technically, Seattle is only a one TD from taking the lead in this game. They aren't out yet, but Denver just looks strnger.

Cutler isn't doing badly, but he's certainly not blowing me away. The thing is, though, is that both QBs and WRs on both sides are playing like it's the first freezing cold game of the year.... which it is. Just like the punters, the guys are having a tough time throwing/catching the frozen ball. Maybe not the best game to judge a rookie on.

Man it sucks beeing so right. Late in the 4rth and he has amassed 72 yards before my boy Marshel(will be the next best thing since culpep to come from my school) had that crazy run after catch. Cutler is a rookie who doesnt know how to win, great call. Shanahan jumped on the bench your starter QB hype that happended this year.(Dolphins, Cowboys, Cardinals, Titans, etc.) I know you Bronco fans will talk up his game because you have to lie to yourself to not be upset about it. Plummer is a great QB, maybe not the best, but you are gunna tell me you have a better shot winning games this far down the stretch with a rookie who wasnt even a winner as an elder at his stage? Common. Don't defend it, its ok, just let it out. Just tell yourself, man next year this kid is gunna be great. As far as Cutler beeing good in college, its easy to have someone decent look great when they play on a shitty team.

Steve's right. Plummer is much better right now. That was not a smart move by Shanahan.

Only time will tell fellas, it was 1 game. And if plummer was throwing 2 pics and 2 tds a game he would still be the starter, but he wasn't scoring enough points. Denver could have won, but our special teams are horrible, except for Elam of course.

Plummer wasn't putting 20 points up a game period. It should be interesting and entertaining, which the broncos were not with Plummer at QB.

FWIW, I thought the fake FG was cool...totally pointless, but cool nonetheless :p Plummer nonchalantly flipping the ball no look over his shoulder to Elam who grabbed it one-handed. Hurt his leg on the play and I don't know why the play was run anyway, but it was cool.
