Sorry about Jeff, TVF. The real downside to the plate tracks is that lots of innocent drivers get caught up in somebody else's mistake. I really hate when a driver causes an accident and then goes on to win the race. Earnhardt Sr. was the master of that shit.
On a positive note......Stock up the liquor cabinet! Charlotte is next and it's a night race!!!

And I'll be at home. No booze for me.

Yeah, shit happens. It's really irritating when the guy has been running so well the whole race and then somethng like that happens.
It is also kind of funny when Earnhardt did something like Vickers did yesterday people did seem to mind as much. It did seem to be misjudgement on the 25's part, not anything intentional like Gordon moving Rusty out of the way at Bristol.
I do like the night races. It should be fun. And with Burton having problems nearl the end yesterday, it reall kept the standings tight. How many chasers had issues at Talladega? 6? 7?
I was rather surprised at how well Junior took it afterward (in front of the cameras, at least...).
I'm sure that the alienation Vickers had been experiencing in the Hendrick garage is a LOT worse today!

I also like the selective memory loss about the big crash with 50 laps to go. Who bumped Carl to send him sideways? It couldn't be Saint Jimmie could it?
He's caused four of the last five or six big wrecks at restrictor plate tracks. Karma is a bitch.

Yep. I thought the talking heads did a marvelous job of NOT talking about Saint Jimmie getting in the back of Carl. Somebody needs to show JJ the soundbite of Elliott Sadler last year where he offered to draw a diagram of the 3 pedals in the car and point out which one was the brake.

There's an AP story today (sorry, I don't have a linked source) that Loew's Speedway hired extra security for Vickers this weekend. They've been getting irate phone calls from Junior fans.

Well, no one in North Carolina worked today. It was a state holiday because Jr. turned 32.
