Default Dodgers Dramatics

In case you missed it, the Dodgers went back-to-back-to-back-to-back last not like Tom Emansky's AAU Team.

The homers were epic enough on their own. When you consider that the homers tied the game in the 9th inning and led to Nomar's game winning homer to move into 1st place, I'd have to call this one of the best games ever. I'm not a Dodger fan, but I can't wait to go home and see those highlights.

Very cool. I caught that this morning. The last team to go back-to-back-to-back-to-back? The 1964 Minnesota Twins.

i really hope the dodgers make it to the playoffs, and end up winning. I want to see the cubs fans kick themselves again for releasing nomar.

I think the Cubs would have needed a lot more than Nomar to get into the playoffs this year.

well, the last few years, they got rid of:
loften
grudulantiz(i have no idea how to spell his name)
todd walker
matt clement
nefi perez
greg maddux
nomar
alou
sosa

these are just some of them off the top of my head. I probably would have traded sosa and alou. but the rest, i don't think so. Nomar and maddux got a raw deal, and fans would have enjoyed to see them stick with the team. Cubs suck.

I don't think losing all of those guys is what killed the Cubs. Most of those guys are journeymen. Maddux, Nomar, and Alou all definately had something left in the tank, though. The key is that they built the team around Prior and Wood, who give them about 20 combined starts a year.

P.S.- Take it from a Tigers fan, you're not missing anything with Neifi Perez. He stinks.
