Overall, Barry by a million miles. What a great guy.
Football (Soccer) - Very hard to say, but at the moment I'd have to say Jamie Caragher - he loves the team and game in general (often watching 5 games a day). He's in it for the game and not the money. Whether getting 80,000 a week or £1 he'd try his heart out for the team.
Tennis - Federer (too young to really appreciate Sampras). A brilliant player, and ruthlessly effective. He in england the general consensus is to root for the underdog, but for me Federer is so good he deserves to win every game he plays.
F1 - Schumacher - See above for the reason

Forgot cycling - could be predicable and say armstrong but for being so fearless in the sprints (or just plain crazy) it's got to be DJAMOLADINE ABDUJAPAROV
