Default Roger is back!

I just heard that the Roger Clemens deal is done and the he is scheduled to pitch for the Atros on June 22. Hopefully this will be the push we need to get in gear.

It's about freakin' time. And at least Pettite looked better today.

Now if only Lane could hit it out of the infield, we'd be poised for a run.

p.s. -- RedWifey and I went to a game recently, and Lance is hurt. Bad. He's a trooper but he's nowhere close to 100% right now. It's not getting much press but I wouldn't be surprised if his production the rest of the year is far below his April numbers.

I'm not quite sure about that. We only have 2 that are consistent, Schilling and Beckett. Wakefield has been off this year but he is known to go on tears where he'll win like 7, 8, 9 in a row. Clement just sucks and the fifth spot seems to be a rotating door spot.

Kinda questioning the Bronson Arroyo trade now. I always like Arroyo, and now it seems like maybe it wasn't the smartest move. Although, at the time, Wells was expected to be a consistent starter and Clement was supposed to be decent. And, with the departure of Benedict Damon, there was a hole to fill in center. Hindsight's 20/20

The Arroyo trade was really dumb. The biggest reason is one that you listed, Kevin... They were counting on David Wells, who has let 15-20 years of being a fat pitcher catch up with him. It's especially odd when considerign that Arroyo was traded for Wily Mo Pena, who isn't even an every day player.

Right now the Astros are the league's slump busters.

I'm like a kid in a candy store. Pizza in the oven, breaking in my brand new glove, and Roger Clemens on the television. (not to mention Liriano, who is flat out filthy.)

Liriano is sure helping my fantasy team. (I took him real real late, and he's paying off BIG time.)

Great game last night.

Roger pitched well... but, the Tigers got the win.
