When did Michael Barrett find time to train with Tyson? That was a HUGE punch. I hear Piersynski is just king Dickhead in MLB, so I'm sure a lot of guys will be sending checks Barrett's way to help with the fine.
<rant>I think the media needs to take a side with Barry Bonds. They spend all this time ripping his ass apart, but then when he catches Babe, they broadcast the bejeezus out of it. Someone needs to stand up for whatever side, and either stop ripping him and give him credit, show his AB's, etc. or rip his ass and stand by it and not give it much more than a Sportscenter highlight. I'm tired of them doing both. </rant>

Random Baseball Thoughts for Sunday
I was reading a SI article about Barrett and his off season training. He does a lot of work with tension tubes that apply weight to counter his movements. He then does moves that he would in the game, such as going down to block a ball or jumping up to throw out a runner. All this while he has tubing attached to him and trainers applying resistance. Pretty cool stuff
