Did a search but couldn't find anything. What do you use to alert you for the high intensity vs low intensity? Right now I am using telephone poles. They work for me now as I am still building some endurance and stamina for max effort. I can see it coming to a point where 1 pole would be too short but 2 might be too long. When I sprint from pole to pole, by the time I slow down to a resting jog I am probably about half way thru the resting distance (the next set of poles). So are there any decently priced timers/watches that would let me set a repeating cycle of of times? And it has to be loud enough that I can hear it over my panting/heart exploding/body trying to make me quit noises.
Thanks
When I'm doing HIIT (which I need to start doing again) I do it on a hill right in front of my house. I can go to the bottom of the hill and sprint up for a set distance. Once I get to the end of that distance I just jog back down to the start and do it again. As I get faster I can set the distance out more. I also want to set this up on a flat area in that it would work my muscles differently.

I have an ironman watch that I bought off of ebay for $47 (including shipping), and it has nine interval timmers. I use only two, one for high intensity and one for low intensity as you said.
Sometimes, I use the interval timer on my watch. Sometimes, I sprint up a hill and jog/walk down. Basically, though, most sport watches will have an interval timer on them.
