I did some research and learned that women's posture (due to physiology) should be more upright than men's, which yes, should be slightly forward. (source: Joan Samuelson)

I also learned something else, but I can't remember it right now...I'll let you know when it comes back to me.

I'd like to hear more about this.

My running form was just corrected so that I lean forward more.........

I know that there are some who subscribe to the "Pose Method" which is very much about being forward...but according to Joan Samuelson (Gold Medalist, 1984 Marathon) and her trainer, as well as "MEB" (see this month's RW magazine), upright is the way to go...

Samuelson states,
"becasue of the forward pelvic tilt, it is especially important for women to cocentrate on maintaining an upright stance when they run...hold your head 'floating' above your body."

This is virtually identical to MEB's visualization that his head is floating.

I suppose it's a personal choice, but I find I have more energy and breath when I am upright. I also wear MBT shoes which have helped to correct any slouching I have...
