I did my first 6 miler in a long time yesterday. That brought up something that was a problem but I had forgot.

When I run for any amount of distance I have one toe that bleeds...alot. There doesn't seem to be any real cuts or anything. It doesn't hurt. It just leaves a bunch of icky stickyness in my shoe.

Anyone have any idea of why this is or what to do to fix it? I've gotten new shoes\socks...I'm at a loss.

Besides the obvious things like making sure the toe nail is trimmed back and that you have enough room in the toe box of the shoe; maybe you can wrap it. You might also check with the AF physician where you're stationed.

might be a good plan. I do have really sensative feet (not much of a manly man, I admit it). Band aids sometimes work...if they stay put. I even tried vasaline a time or two. I know it's something that I'M doing, because it's not an every time thing.

The only consistant factor is that it only happens on 6+ miles. I typically tie my shoes very snuggly...mabey I need to loosen them up or something.

It might have something to do with my freakishly long toes. Regaurdless, thanks for your help!

It's not a blister? Sounds like a blister type rubbing that would be caused by movement or incorrect sock type.

'Freakishly long toes' - there are entire websites dedicated to those and the people who love them. Not that I would know or anything.
