This might be old news to all the dedicated runners, but Chris McDougall's book about the Tarahumara Indians came out earlier this month. I have heard only good things about this book and ordered a copy today.

I read an thing on them in a mens health about a year ago. Interesting stuff. Will have to source a copy of that for sure.

Thanks.

The book came a few days ago and I finished it yesterday. Interesting and a quick read. The Tarahumara are fascinating people and so are many of the other people in the book.

It definately makes a compelling argument that man evolved as a long distance runner.

I just ordered it. I'm looking forward to it. I get a little tired of listening to people tell me the human body was not meant to run ultra-distances. Maybe this book will give me some more ammunition against them, other than I just like to do it.

It was a strange book in certain places but overall a very good book.

I've been adjusting my stride and long runs are getting heaps easier. Would be awesome to have the style of the Tarahumara though.

I found a site with some really good pictures related to the book, especially the big race with the Tarahumara down in Mexico. http://www.allwedoisrun.com/tarahumara.htm
