I'm signed up to do the GR Marathon on October 19th. I saw an inaugural Indianapolis race on November 1 listed on marathonguide.com.

I hope this one is better than the "Indianapolis Classic Marathon" (which got deep-sixed last year). KLA puts on good races though so odds are in the runners' favor. I assume that this race is going downtown in order to draw away people from the Lawrence race which, while a good race, doesn't offer all that beautiful downtown Indy scenery. This course looks nicer than the Mini, actually :P

Dammit, I thought there'd be more races in Southern California! There's one in LA, that's not too bad of a drive. All San Diego has is the Rock & Roll. No thanks.

Is there an active running calendar in San Diego? I know you're further north, but I still don't know much about SD!

I'm not a runner so this might not be what you mean - but you can have a look.

That's awesome! Thanks Lisa! There's a half in Pendleton's hills on Sept 13... dunno about that soon... but I'll think about it.
