Default Nike +

Ok so we have long seen the nike+ipod deal.

I came across the nike+ sportsband today.

http://nikeplus.nike.com/nikeplus/

Basically the nike+ without the ipod.

So I guess my questions are.

a) anyone used it?
b) anyone used it without nike shoes? No they make lace attachments or something for it so it dosen't have to go in the shoe and I don't have to buy nike shoes?
c) Is the online abilities of it worth it? Does the competition against others in the world make it more interesting than the standard Garmin Forerunner?

Og.

I've never used the armband, but love love love the Nike + iPod. My wife used it without Nike shoes, and it worked just fine.

I haven't used mine much this summer, but it was really cool to be able to do challenges and set goals for myself. I needed to take a step back from numbers this summer with my training, but in the future, I know I'll use it more. I really enjoyed it.

There are holders for it, many actually, Otto and I each have one and something different from each other. I'm not going to the site because I hate Nike's flash site, a pain in the ass. But I assume the foot part is the same as it has been.

I'll get Otto to post the links to holders... I don't have them personally anymore.

Introducing RunAway

Little acrylic thing that has a hook for your shoelaces on the back. Which also doubles as a holder for the iPod dongle (not that you need the dongle with this new dealie).

Haven't tried it with the Vibrams, yet.

I used to use it all the time but I had a hard time calibrating it. It is a great tool to use for the common everyday runner. It is a great motivation tool as well. I used to be a part of a group/challenge on the Nike + website. Also, go to your local running store and they should have a pouch-like thing that you can attach to any shoe.
