Default neck pain

Has anyone had experience trying to run when your discs have some degeration? I've been having pain in my neck when/after running, last Dec. I was diagnosed with degeneration in a couple of discs. Is it a lost cause trying to bother running again? Would different shoes make a difference? I guess if I have to do give up running I will - it's not hugely important, but I just hate giving in to things like this!

Thanks - Ann

Running has always been a pain in the neck for me but that is another topic. You may want to post this in the injuries and rehab section. The folks that frequent that area have given people some really good advice. Good Luck hopefully you can keep on trucking.
