Default Gimme a break...The Dreaded Trots

So in my cross-country and Track seasons, I get real, pain-in-the-ass runners trots. Yea yea, I can admit it. But c'mon someone help me out here. Ive tried fiber diets which didnt help much, so please dont tell me that.
Im beginning to think its more of a hydration problem. Anyone have any tips on how to stop it from happening? Track is starting in March and I plan to do very well, even better without this 'problem'.
Any good hydration tips out there?

I usually take a big sh!t before each run. If it still happens, then I see what I ate before the run that's causing it. Do you drink a lot of coffee before a run? That could do it. What is your diet like pre-run?

You might need to do a full review of your diet. I find that the only time I have a problem is when I am not eating clean. Like Eric said look at what you are eating and not just pre run but all day. I am betting that if you eat a healthy balanced diet that should clear up the problems.

If not you can always get Depends.

emartin's advice is what I would do. When you're running, you adding some internal vibration that is probably moving some material in your bowels.

A cup of coffee and a good walk before running might help.

I never drink coffee anyway, so thats not a problem. But I find that if I run after school, which is late in the afternoon, is usually when it happens. But if I run in the morning Im fine. During the season I try to be careful in what Im eating so I rarely have any greasy food or anything.

Thanks for the tips guys!

You talk a lot about hydration in a lot of your posts, are you over-hydrating?

I used to stress a lot about it too, I've been there! I use the pee test now, lemonade color or clearer, I'm doing okay. Darker means more water.
