Default New Clif Recovery Drink

CLIF BAR | Eat | CLIF SHOT

It's freaking delicious. They make a Hot Apple Cider too, which I have yet to try. I want to do snowy runs now just so I can come back and drink this. Yum....

Except it has fewer calories and a lot less sugar...

I don't mean to bust on your choice of drinks but if you don't want calories and carbs, why do you have a recovery drink?

You're probably right about the expensive hot chocolate, but it's convenient for me to have it in my bag as I run a lot at work, and it does taste really good. The Hot Apple Cider is actually an electrolyte drink, so basically Gatorade in a form that I can handle after a sub-zero run. I probably won't buy any more Hot Chocolate one's after you pointed that out, maybe only because they are organic and easy to tote around.....and really good...

The lower calories are good for me during the week, as it gets dark here at about 4pm, so a lot of the time I'm only getting 20 minute runs in and don't need to replenish 400 calories. But for longer ones, a plain 'ole hot chocolate looks like it might do the trick.

Yeah, I like them sometimes, depends on the day. Sometimes they give me heartburn, other days, they taste delicious...
