Default calculating splits via online and text message

any hardcore runners out there. i just started using this site SplitCalc.com. you can not only calculate your splits online for a race or run but you can do it via text message. i find it very useful for wen i'm at practice or at a meet. i dont get spam from the site or anything either. theres just an add at the end of the splits. very cool i think.

I use my journal and my heart rate monitor. How is getting a text of my splits helpful?
