So I learned that it takes about two miles of running barefoot on sand to wear away the bottom of a foot The blisters should be bearable to run on by Tuesday if not tomorrow. Good thing since I'm totally sucking at this challenge

Not doin' so hot. I don't know if my foot will allow me to run much the rest of the month. And I'm seriously reconsidering my attempt to race a 1/2-M at the end of October.
Sorry team. This sucks. I'd really love to run a spring marathon in '08 if work/ school allows for it. I need to make sure this issue is cleared up now.

Sorry to hear that Jim, I hope it starts to heal. It's probably wear and tear from a long summer of running! Give yourself a rest, if I didn't have a marathon coming up, I'd be well into the riding my bike for the fun of it stage and trying to recover from a long summer. That's just going to have to happen when the snow starts flying! Get well my friend!
Phad - I don't have much sympathy for you since you were out on a beach. Prick!
Get those blisters healed, and get ready for some beautiful fall running!
