And have any of you received your confirmation book? I haven't, but I'm listed in the confirmed entrants database on their website...

I haven't received the booklet yet but I am listed as registered.
I'll be getting to town Friday afternoon and plan on leaving sometime Sunday. I would like to catch a little of the Indy 500 practice on Sunday before I head home. My spring semester starts that Monday.
km- How late will you be in on Friday? According to the website, there's no pre-race packet pickup and the expo closes at 9 pm.
Also, I'm pretty sure jamie (jruck) will be there.

My plane lands at Indy at 9:15 but I have a large cadre (read: all) of immediate family members who live in Indy and work downtown.  So time to call in favors for packet pickup. And then my sis lives just a few miles from the airport, so I'll stay with them Friday night.
I could fly out earlier, but I don't want to skip out on work early and, from what I've heard, we don't usually get out earlier on Fridays than any other day. Hence, my flight doesn't leave Reagan until 7:30.

Yep - I should be there Friday afternoon. If I leave early in the AM, I should get there by 3PM... maybe even a little earlier. Should be about a 7-hour drive for me.
I'm either driving home on Sunday or driving up to the DeKalb, Illinois area to visit my birthmother and family. If so, I'll have a nice 11-hour drive home on Monday! 
Hey, if you're not getting into Indy until 9:15pm, then how will you make the obligatory Mexican buffet??? Maybe it will have to be a post-race buffet!

Yes, I will be there. I plan on taking a 1/2 day and heading down to the expo on Friday afternoon to pick up my packet.

If my brother-in-law and his wife weren't already staying over with their kids, I'd love to host you guys. Unfortunately, sharing an air mattress on my living room floor is probably not ideal pre-race sleeping conditions.
A pre or post-race meal sounds good to me. I'm not sure where the race begins and ends, but there are a ton of good places to eat downtown. I hope you guys like White Castle. |

There's a deli counter near Lilly, near East Street... I ate there a couple times this past summer. And there's plenty of ethnic-type restaurants on Pendleton Pike near Post. I'm guessing 465 will be horrendous that day though... ugh.
