Running in the rain
I will be running in a 5K on Saturday and it is scheduled to rain all day. Other than the fact that I am going to get wet is their anything else I should plan for.

Chafing! I recommend a ball cap with a decent brim. Also make sure your shoes have good traction on wet pavement.

Prepare for wrinkled fingertips!
Do you have dry-fabric socks? They help as well to prevent blisters.

Thanks for the ideas everyone but I might get lucky and stay dry. The local forecasters are saying it will only be cloudy and cool on Saturday. In this town that means I have about a 50/50 chance of them being right. As long as it is dry on Monday for my Golf Outing I will be happy.

Well the weather man was right and we didn't have any rain for the race. It was a cloudy 79 degrees with 80% humidity so I think the rain would have actually been nicer. I finished in 35:08 which is my personal best since I have been acurately timing my runs. I could have finished at least 30 seconds quicker had I know where the mile markers were. This Sunday is another run and I know I can push harder.
