Ahh, the Fox Float with the front lockout.

Good stuff. The Manitou Skareb on mine is the only thing I don't like about my bike, specifically for the reason you mentioned. There's no lockout, and while there is zero bob from the back, the ride to the trailhead can be a bit bouncy if I decide I want to crank it.
Man, all this talk about mtbing really has me wanting to get out and ride; I've been ignoring my mtb for the last few weeks in deference to my road bike. The differences in riding styles between the two are pronounced, so that when I get on my mtb after being on the road a lot, initially I am all steady upper body, which of course you can't do on a trail and still keep your balance. And on the reverse, I have way too much body motion which is wasted energy on the road when I have been riding the mtb a lot.
Hey JP, how's the new Scalpel with that crazy lefty fork doing? Didn't hear any reviews from you after getting it. Also, do you road ride?
