wow JP, I just read about the theft over at MH and I just want to say that I feel for you, just please don't put yourself in harm's way, once you identify the thieves, (and I kinda sense that you will)let the police give them their punishment, remember that revenge is a dish that's best eaten cold.
Take care

I am sorry to hear that Pike! Luckily, FINALLY I got my home owner's to pay for my loss, but it was like pulling teeth! 6 months later I just went out and bought my new bike, and just had it 'pimped out'!
Check this out... Here is what I got:
Scalpel 1000 Specs
Frame Scalpel
Fork HeadShok Lefty DLR Ti, Variable Travel
Rear Shock Fox Float L w/remote lockout
Rims Mavic UST, 24 hole
Hubs Cannondale Omega disc rear, Lefty front
Spokes DT Competition
Tires Hutchinson Scorpion Tubeless, 26 x 2.0"
Pedals Shimano PD-M515
Crank Shimano Hollowtech, 22/32/44, Octalink w/2 alloy rings
Chain Shimano 9-speed
Rear Cogs SRAM 9.0
Bottom Bracket Shimano Octalink
Front Derailleur Shimano LX
Rear Derailleur Shimano XTR
Shifters Shimano LX
Handlebars Easton EA50
Stem Cannondale HeadShok Si
Headset Cannondale HeadShok Si
Brakeset Magura Marta
Brakelevers Magura Marta
Saddle Fi'zi:k Nisene
Seat Post Cannondale Competition
Color Blood Red (gloss) (RED).
Plus I added a titaneum frame Serfa seat, and a specialized computer. Woo Hoo! I am going riding tonight on it for the very first time!
Pike, I now have a state of the art security system installed in my house and shed, and even if they want to raise the alarm by breaking in anyway they will be slowed down by having to cut through some MAJOR locked cables holding ALL of my bikes and lawn equipment together. Man I hate theives!
Good luck finding your bikes or getting them replaced!

ooooh you got the lefty fork.
I'm really curious about that thing, its meant to be really stiff.
Make sure after you've given it a full on test you post your view on it.
I managed to claim on insurance for my bikes and bought a meaty downhill bike in pieces which I built up. Now i'm in the market for a rigid frame to build into a trail bike. I dont know if i'm getting old but the downhill riding i'm doing is beginning to scare the crap out of me now!

Heh! How old are you Pike?
Took it for a test ride tonight... Needs some tweaking, but a VERY nice ride other than that. Think I need to adjust seat back and up, tighten chain, etc.

Only 25? You're too young to start losing your nerve for fast single track. What area of the country to you live in? We have some pretty good mountain biking in AR.
