But at least they didn't hold Kloden back today to wait on his tired ass.
My video is back, can't believe I missed all summit action.
But that's what the prime-time recap is for, I guess.

He's a good rider, but he always seems to blow up on the stages he should be winning.

I'm starting to think this is a satellite issue with Versus. Early in the morning the picture is great, but then during the day it is completely unwatchable. At night it starts out kinda flaky but gradually gets stonger. After my picture came back this morning it was ok for a while but then got worse and worse. By the finish the video and sound were so broken up and distorted you couldn't even follow what was happening. Doesn't anyone else see this?

I was watching at work this morning, so it was sporadic and looked okay. I'll let you know if it is weird tonight.

We've got cable and I don't see it happening Mark. Sorry.
Crazy stage today - caught the beginning of the Galabier climb and got back just after the finish - but rolled TiVo back to see the last 10 mins.
The big boys minus Vino are settting it up for the Pyrrennes!

I think Phil is right that Kloden is not the man for Astana. Vino doesn't look like he has it.
Was Contador flying today or what? Man that move he put on Rasmussen & the boys was something. Disco is going to do very well if they can keep this up.
Did anyone else see Burkardt taco his wheel when he hit that poor dog? Poor thing was wandering across the road and I don't know why the rider couldn't miss him but just hit him broadside. The dog looked OK though.

The video is on VS. website. At least he was going slow. Could you imagine if that was on one of those descents? Man!

I agreed with Phil on that: Why the hell was the dog wondering around loose in the first place? It's not like they weren't expecting the Tour to come through there today. Poor dog, stupid owner.

I just saw the vid on their site. My first thought was, 'ouch, hope that dog is OK', but it was very quickly followed by a more pressing one: 'damn, that was probably a $2000 carbon fiber wheel!' Followed immediately by thinking about bmph8ter's cracked carbon fiber Orbea Orca frame. Then I had to cry for all the wasted carbon fiber that will never know it's potential. Why, oh why can't it come to me, where I will treat it properly and not crash?

Mark....VS is not the problem. I have direct tv and I get the feed with no problems at all. Watched the entire race tonight with very limited picture break up from the live video feed. Must be your provider. When it's happening...can you flip to another channel and see if you get picture?
Anyway, great stage today. A bit of a shoot out on the Galibiea. I wish the two discovery boys could have stayed away. Major props to the Columbian Barlo World rider. Remember, he rode OFF of the Peleton, past all the breaks and off of Popo's wheel to take the stage. Nice.
Is anyone else miffed by Cadel Evans' style? I wish I could support him, since he is a former mountain biker, but crap man, keep you bike upright. sheesh.

Yeah, VS is the only channel affected. I could watch the golf or fishing channel all day with no problem. I've got the cable company coming out tomorrow, my fault for not checking and calling before the tour was half over.

Today's Pyrrennes stage: "Men, here. Boys (that's you Vino), over there."

Vino must have pushed himself too hard yesterday. Or he knew he wasn't gonna be able to hang in the hills.
That was one great battle today.
But what is it with the Pyrrennes that brings out the nuts like thong guy?
Thankfully his hammock held his in.

Holy cow, what an awesome stage. I was camping last night and didn't see it live, so I just watched the prime-time recap. Tomorrow and Wednesday are going to be at least as hard as today, so who knows what will happen.
Popo just ripped the legs off of everyone, that was amazing to watch.
