Need to get caught up:
May 20: 12 miles
May 21: 7 miles
May 22: 7 miles (both of these days I rode to work but then afternoon thunderstorms made me puss out and call my wife for a ride home.)
May 26: 15 miles
May 28: 15 miles
May total: 106 miles
This was a pretty pathetic month, I just didn't feel the same motivation to put in the garage miles.

5/29 - very short 10 mile recovery ride. Was a good boy and resisted the urge to ride more miles; did what I needed to to ge tthe blood to the legs and no more.
May Goal: 450 miles
May m-t-d: 370 miles. I will miss my goal by one ride, which I missed this weekend.

Thanks.
The cycling challange has helped me more than I expected. From here on out, I am going to be expecting 250 to 350 mile months. It's paying off on the waist line and in the group!

We had nice weather this month and that had a lot to do with getting out more. The challenge does help motivate a bit too! This was my best May total ever.

Thanks P - not done yet, but I will be short by that one ride probably (unless I break my training schedule and ride tomorrow just to meet this goal - unlikely because I have a group training ride on Friday).
5/30 - 36 eq. spin miles
May Goal: 450 miles
May m-t-d: 406 miles (90% of goal with 97% of month gone by)

no doubt he did. But I guess it's all relative. Over 400 miles!!! wow....and thats the goal? WOW! I guess it took me riding 300 + (i got another ride planned this month) to realize how many 400+ is.
Kaiser, some day...i'm gunna do what you do. And my MTB buddies are gunna be scratchin' their head when I am dustin' them.
werd.

I have learned that what K considers a bad ride would be the equivalent of my best ride! I too can't get over the volume that K puts in.
Flee - the way you are going, you will be dusting the roadies too!

That would be soooooo noice. I have dropped many a rider on a mountain bike. I believe my skills set me apart in that arena, not that I am amazing. But on the road....I can say I have NEVER put the hurt on anyone. I would LOVE to ride away from someone on the road. I guess I should set my sites on that.
Side note. Since the middle of last month....I have lost around 5 lbs. Which is darn near perfect. This riding thing is paying off.
From 197 to 192lbs.
