You know, he seems like a down to Earth, and is pretty laid back considering all of this. I love this quote:
"And regardless of the way this goes, I'm going to have myself a little party because I'm very happy about what I did."
I think that sums it all up right there. I still think he's innocent.

This might be the first time in my memory that I'm actually glad that I subscribe to this magazine.

I still think he's guilty. I'm waiting for my I Believe Floyd sticker, so I can put it over my I Believe Tyler sticker, which went over my I Believe Millar sticker, which went over my I Believe(d) Pantani sticker...

I'm going to wait and see how I perform after the Orchiectomy before I form an opinion. I need to see if it makes me faster. I'm not saying I recommend it as a path to winning, only that it's one option...
FWIW: I DO believe Lance.

Things that make you go "Hmmm..."
I find it odd that Scott Hamilton's career was ended with his testicular cancer which was localized. Lance's cancer had metastisized, and he road better than ever.

Well, I've read interview and both the "He's Innocent" and "He's Guilty" articles. I thought the innocent argument was a little more convincing, the guilty arguement is based on the tests and the fact that steroids are common in football, baseball and track. Despite what people like Dick Pound would have you believe, I don't think the tests or the testing is completely infallible.
The innocent argument is based in large part on the fact that it really wasn't all that huge an effort, it looked better than it was because everyone else was just tired or didn't think Landis could go far without cracking like he had the day before. His power output over stage 17 never came close to his max output, and overall was similar to his training rides.
I'm still on the benefit-of-the-doubt, innocent-until-proven side of the fence myself.
Has anyone else read it yet? Thoughts?

I read it and I thought the 'He's Innocent' article was based more on emotional appeal than any hard evidence. I want to believe he's innocent badly, but the presence of the synthetic T (which I guess is banned) using a gold-standard test to detect it seems not so good. Yeah, I know that the testosterone issue wouldn't have helped him with Stage 17, but it is banned by the UCI and thems the rules. However, I hope against hope that somehow we discover he is innocent.
The interview itself was less satisfying to me. I was hoping Floyd would give some possible explanation, but he seemed as befuddled as the rest of us. Of course, this could hint at either his innocence or guilt depending on how you look at it. The one hope that I cling to for his innocence is that he didn't have any adverse findings either before or after that stage when he was tested. So chances are even if he was doing something with his T levels, it didn't play a part in his victory. Which makes a possible TdF winner title stripping even more painful.

I think this is where our views diverge. It's only a "gold-standard" because the people who have a vested interest in us all believing that the test is 100% infallible say it is. I don't have a very high opinion of Dick Pound, and the fact that he says it is so is reason enough for me to question. Dick Pound is scum, and the fact that this whole thing has played out in a way that makes cycling look bad and him look good sets the conspiracy wheels turning.
I choose to believe (hope?) that Floyd is as befudled as the rest of us because there really is no good explanation and the accusations make no sense. If he is guilty, I wish he'd just stand up and say so. "Yeah I doped, so bite me." would be fine, then I could quit believing in him and move on. Yeah, Oscar!
