I was thinking that too, it's like he was still breathing through his nose the whole way up. I think the next two days might be bigger than last Thursday, a lot of pain inflicted today and much more to come next two stages.

I stayed home to watch this morning too. What a stage! I can't imagine what Kloden was thinking. Floyd sure is masking the pain of his hip really well. I hope he has some left in the tank for the next few days.

Watch him just come out tomorrow and attack and build like a 5 minute lead. Go Floyd!!!!!

Damn, that looked bad, at least on the Velonews live update. Not sure if I want to watch tonight, but reading it sounded like one hell of a stage.

Landis has waved bye-bye to the Yellow Jersey! I have a feeling Cadel Evans will be wearing yellow in Paris.

Horrible. Floyd must have gone all out yesterday, had nothing left today. 8 MINUTES!! He's toast. Rain on my parade...

My parade was rained on the day before the prologue.

Can anyone remember a yellow johnny wearer cracking that badly at this stage of the race?

I couldn't believe how fast he went down.

Pereiro really rode like a champion today.

Wow. I hope Floyd can muster something epic tomorrow. I thought Leipheimer was going to kick some ass, and then he ranout of gas.

Robbie Ventura, Floyd's coach, was at a loss except to say he didn't think it was the hip but an energy issue.

I wonder if he bonked like Lance did a few years ago. HORRIBLE time to bonk if he did...

Indourain in '96 was worse.

Stayed home again this morning, which is starting to look more and more like a wise choice on my part. Go Floyd!

It's a sick game of leap frog. Go all out, take the yellow, pay for it and surrender the yellow the next day. Looks like Floyd's timing might be working out better though.

Don't let any threats get away on a big break tomorrow, and then ride a crazy fast TT on Saturday. Piece of cake, should be in the bag.:p

I just called my boss to let him know that my headache hasn't got better yet, and I'll be another hour.

Nobody in the world could have predicted this kind of day. Well someone did, I caught this on Velonews:

Quote:
4:30 PM Credit where credit is dueOkay, sages that we all are, only our ranting cartoonist came close to calling it.
This works out great for Floyd, he doesn't have to defend Friday, and can prepare for a big TT on Saturday. This is the most exciting Tour I've seen in many years now.
