Default How much study time for CSCS

Hi, I am wondering about the normal study time for the NSCA CSCS exam. I am shooting to take the exam at the end of June. I am ACE certified already and will begin studying for this test next week. Does anybody know how much of the information from a PT test will transfer over to the CSCS exam. I have book 2 and want to take the test before some of the information switches over in July. Just afraid that it is not enough time. Any advice or information will be greatly appreciated??

Thanks

Never done nor know anything about CSCS. I heard Lou say a while ago that he took 6months but that wasn't from a sport science background.

My memory might not be actually right on this one but since no-one else has posted I thought I'd give you something.

I studied for about 3 months. I think every person will be a bit different.

Depends on your background. I'm an ex sci nerd with a pretty long and comprehensive background in the topic, so I didn't require much prep time. Then again, I didn't find the test particularly hard, or impressive. Most people don't feel that way, so it will depend entirely on how familiar you are with the material, specifically how familiar you are with what NSCA suggests (which is not always the "right" answer....), and how well you take tests.

Default Hi,

I think it enough time for you if you have a good logical and fundamental mind. You just read your books for some time and take rest for 1/2 hour and reread that you can easily recover your course. If you are not agood student so you read your course once completely and then learn only some important questions. Try it and face your exams bravely don't be afraid you can jump over the lap you exams.

It's a code, I think. She's giving the answers to the next exam in code.

Seriously, studying for an exam...how many exams did you take in college? Lots I'll bet. How is this any different? It's a matter of reading, comprehending, absorbing, take notes, rinse, repeat, until you have the knowledge down.

Good grief, got enough hidden HTML in there, Richard Simmons?

Good bless you all for studying for CSCS--sounds like a bear.

But I'm really replying to Phaedrus--been wrestling with Plato all semester. The Phaedrus is my bear.
