I am taking the NASM-CPT course here in Hong Kong (it is the cert. most recognized by the major gyms here) and I'm just going through the book right now, and I will be attending some in-class sessions next month.
Any tips on what I should focus on for the exam? Any NASM-CPTs here? Thanks!
I found the exam to be straightforward. The practical was a little tougher since I kept trying to add too much into the workout. Be very aware of time spent doing each segement of the program you design.
Thanks for the tips. My exam is scheduled for March 14, with 5 in-class sessions leading up to it (I'm presuming that the classes are on the practical side). I'm halfway through the book now (chapter 13 to be exact, on Program Design). Not absorbing everything on the first read of course. Am I on-track, or should I pick up the pace a bit? Should I study the DVDs more, or concentrate on reading the book?

You're on track...I did the whole thing in a little under 60 days from purchase to exam. If you are taking the 2 day workshop, take it after you take the test and get certified...it is worth 1.8 CEUs after certification, no credit if taken before the cert.

muscle imbalances and exercise progressions/regressions. At the NASM workshop I attended prior to the test a sheet was handed out with what to focus on.
