I think I could have got depth if I wasnt freaking out about squating on my tip toes. Even with no weight i was getting pulled forward........Next week I will go heavier. I will also bench over 425 in my shirt

4 boards, lockouts, reverse band presses all help. But also technique is very important ive found recently, if you get the bar to the right spot - you can move pretty good weight.
adding the minis to the speed bench tomorrow. Also would it be better to not go to my chest all the time when im in the shirt ?
Until you are a little more advanced, imo there is no need for shirted boards. They are kind of an ego lift most of the time. If you really feel the need I wouldn't go over a 1 board.
I dont feel the need I just read something on Westside about guys missing lifts in comp because of over training with boards. I really dont see the point at all

just another tool.. most good shirted benchers do use them, the key is really knowing your shirt and staying honest with what you can actually touch. BIG gyms training (who have the best <275lbs lifters out there right now) use their shirt + boards + reverse bands with about 250lbs over their best press from the chest.. crazy..
You have some good lifts so far NW. Keep working hard and learning your gear, they'll just keep going up.

I've made some huge mistakes, but they were necessary, because without them I wouldn't have learned anything.

is 2x2 going to be enough volume? and how about going into the shirt every other week? rotating 3 board and 2 board I think doing both in a session is burning me out either that or im not adapting to the the intensity
