anyway the have a lightweight under 84kg division, heres the events requirements

Light weights - Under 84KG

- Farmers Walk 2 x 70kg = 140kg for distance
- Log Lift 1 x 80kg for reps
- Atlas Stones 5 x 70kg - 80kg - 90kg - 100kg - 110kg for time
- Conan's Wheel 1 x 180kg for distance
- Shield Walk 1 x 100kg for distance

Looks like I have some numbers to aim for. Don't know if there will be any competitions in my area, would be cool to compete though.

None of those weights are light to me at the moment. Be impressive to hit those numbers and even cooler if you were able to do it in a meet.

Another site for you is Aussie Strength

Farmers walk: 215lbs/hand with 2 turns
Carry and drag: carry 190lb keg drag back 500-600lb sled.
yep, your event sure looks tougher,
there is also a Medley (Tire flip, chain pull) listed as part of the events section, but it doesnt mention any of the weights involved.

There not light to me either, some good numbers to aim for though
If I can O/H press 80kg for reps I would be happy with that alone.

I have I have checked out Aussie Strength quickly, doesnt seem to get a great deal of traffic.

Another week, nice work! You're on a roll here!

And 80kg for reps would be good! I think I'll get to work on that after my PL meet is done.

Your chins are coming along nicely.

Is the plan just doing 20reps (or whatever number) in the shortest amount of time? Ie as many sets as needed and try to keep rest short.

Thanks, 80kg will be good, I have along way to go though, maybe we need to have a race.

Yes thats the plan, I really should keep track of the time it takes for the overall set, but I dont. If I could eventually crank tem out in 1 set I would be very happy.

Monday 12th May

Bench
b x 20
60kg x 5
70 x 5
85.5 x 5
95 x 3 (209lbs) - 3 reps was easy
90 x 3 x 2

Row - Pendlay
60kg x 8
80kg x 4 x 5 (176lbs) - + 1 set, still maybe a bit heavy
60 x 5

Sandbag Press 3 x 60secs
x 20
x 18
x 14
+ total reps

Superset - no rest
CG Pushup
(hands on bar)
x 15
x10
x 8

Underhand, bodyweight Inverted row, feet elevated
x 11
x 8
x 8

- Another good workout, bench went well. I was going to go to singles next week but I might stick with 3 or 5 reps for the next few weeks.

- Rows were OK, might be better off reducing the weight slightly though.

- Sandbag presses keep progressing, I really enjoy them.

- Superset killed me

- Rest tonight

Thats worth having a slightly less energetic weights session for. Those are the reasons to stay fit and healthy and not be one of those overweight, unhealthy people that say they want to be able to do more things with their kids.

I agree and its one of the main reasons I do what I do, and the best thing was they came into to the garage and I set them up with some db's and they worked out with me.
There from was shit though

Next time, you gotta rip it up, 3 times. What were you afraid of? You have a rack to drop it in right?

No I dont have a rack, thats why I get tentative some times.
To not even try 1 rep though was pretty shit house.

My wife did say she will spot me next week, she'll be happy to scream abuse at me.
