Bar plus 140kg weights $345.

Nothing happened last night, combination of things happened which meant no training, will have to do a full-body session tonight, as were heading to the coast for the long weekend and I wont have anytime to play catch up this week.
just had a look at this stuff, its waaay cheaper than what I have been looking at, not sure of the postage costs though, thanks again Josh
Have you bought anything from them Josh??
Edit: Looks like shipping will only be about $100, for a power rack, olympic bar and 180kg of weights, pretty good.
All up just over $1,000 about $600 cheaper than what i have been pricing
Deadlift 60kg x 8
100 x 5
120 x 1
140 x 1
150 x 1 - easy (331lbs) 160 x F
x F
x F
Damn hey, not as close as I had thought, 150kg went up so easy I thought I was set for 160 x reps, but I didnt even get it off the floor. I really thought I had improved my dead a heap, not sure what happened, but I was pretty dissapointed. But not even 1 rep, come on Ive pulled it before, just 1
Oh well at least I know where I'm at for the moment,

Never did buy anything from them. Emailed them and everything but we never moved at the beginning of the year like we were going to. I had a sweet ass gym planned out. Now that money went into Kettlebells.
I was blown away when I found that site compared to others I was looking at. If I set up a facility in the next few years I'll be initially stocking up from there and up grading over time.
I find with my deads that they only thing that helps my deads is heavy deads. Other people find that they can come back after doing other work and still pull their PR but i'm totally oposite. Not sure if I could pull 140kg today.

I'll keep progressing along till I hit 160 x 5, Deads have been feeling easy
and I wanted to see where I was at, now I know, and I agree heavy deads are the best way to improve deads
Bench b x 20
60kg x 10
70 x 5
80 x 3 90 x 3 x 3 (198lbs) - felt ok, wasnt getting 5 reps though Row - Pendlay 60kg x 5 65kg x 8 x 3 (143lbs)
x 7 - upped the weight again
Tricep Extension 35kg x 8 (77lbs)
x 6
x 5 + weight,
Sandbag Clean & Press 1 clean/5 presses
3 x 60secs 30kg (67lbs)
x 20
x 13
x 14 down a few reps
S/Bag Curls / Rows
- couple sets nothing to exciting
- was all ok, bench, felt good from wise, think i'm getting into a good setup.
- rows are progressing, few cheat reps towards the end of the sets but otherwise good
Squat b x 10 x 2
60kg x 5
70kg x 5 80 x 5 x 3 (176lbs)
- meh, thats as good as it was getting last night Deadlift 60kg x 5
80 x 5
100 x 3
120 x 3 140 x 1 (309lbs) Backward Sled Drag 70kg x 34m x 3
AB Circuit 1 x circuit
- dont know whats going on at the moment but I seem to have well and truly stalled on squats and deads, even regressed a little.
- have been tossing up doing a cycle using Prelepins table, think its time to give it a try which I will start on Sunday. Will do
Sunday - ME squat / DE dead
Wednesday - ME Dead / DE Squat
see if that gets things moving in the right direction again.
- sled drags were more like plow drags with the ground still being a bit wet after the weekend rain, nothing like sloppy clay to drag a sled across.
It added some extra resistance thats for sure.
Over Head Press b x 10 x 2
40kg x 5
45 x 5 50 x 5 x 3 (110lbs) - better than last week, the same as 2 weeks ago
Chinups 20 reps - minimal rest
bw = 86.6kg (clothed, full belly) bw x 9
x 5
x 3
x 3 - up a few reps first 2 sets
Overhand sled row sled (40kg) x 36m (118 ft)
50kg x 36m x 2 could have done more weight, but wasnt sure how the sled was going to
pull across the soft ground again CG Bench 65kg x 10
75kg x 5
x 4
35kg x 20
- pretty happy with everything tonight, Overheads felt much better and stronger, but I will stick with the same weight next week I think.
- chins are getting better considering I'm getting heavier and upping reps
Hah, we weigh about the same now, I was 86kgs at the meet I went to a few weeks ago clothed with food in me too. I was 83kgs the next day with less clothes on, and zero food in me hah!
Nice chins, I find with the chins moreso than other exercises, that if i do a hard first/second set, I am completely fucked for any more sets, last time I tried I couldn't get 3x8
Starting a cycle using Prelepins table for squats and deads.
Using my crappy maxes of 150kg Dead and 100kg Squat
ME Deadlift 6 x 3 @ 65%60kg x 5
80kg x 5
90 x 3 96kg x 3 x 6 (212lbs)
DE Squat - bellow parallel box
10 x 2 @ 55%
B x 4 55kg x 2 x 10 (120lbs)
- That was all I had time for, was all pretty easy.
- Bench tonight
Sounds good, how are you organizing the cycle? tapering down the sets/reps until you get to heavy PR singles? or just keeping the sets/reps constant while you ramp up the weight?

following the cycle that was in the EFTS article, working up to singles
Wednesday 7th May
ME SQUAT - below parallel box6 x 3 @ 65%
B x 10 x 2
60kg x 5 65kg x 3 x 6 (143lbs)
- these were easy and PAIN FREE
DE DEADLIFT - 10 x 2 @ 55%
65kg x 5 82.5kg x 2 x 10 (182lbs) - these were ridiculously fast and easy
BACKWARD SLED DRAG 80kg x 50m x 3
- these were pretty quick, still hurt though
- was really happy with this, My legs/ hips felt really good and loose last night, not sure why but I'm not complaining, Squats were easy
- Sled drag was heaps easier, not sure if I have gotten stronger or the ground now has a nice smooth path for the sled to slide on making it easier, probably a little of both.
- Weight seems to be consistently at 84.60kg (186.5lbs), I'm happy with that as long as I keep gaining strength.
Was just googling Aussie Strongman stuff and found this site Oz STRONGMAN
anyway the have a lightweight under 84kg division, heres the events requirements
Light weights - Under 84KG
- Farmers Walk 2 x 70kg = 140kg for distance
- Log Lift 1 x 80kg for reps
- Atlas Stones 5 x 70kg - 80kg - 90kg - 100kg - 110kg for time
- Conan's Wheel 1 x 180kg for distance
- Shield Walk 1 x 100kg for distance
Looks like I have some numbers to aim for. Don't know if there will be any competitions in my area, would be cool to compete though.

I didnt think they looked all that challenging for a strongman event either,
Not that it wouldnt be challenging but it doesnt seem all that far out of reach.

yea, by comparison my competition in the US (a novice, never before competed one) is:
Log overhead press: 180lbs for reps
Trap Bar Deadlift: 450lb for reps
Yoke walk: 550lbs
Farmers walk: 215lbs/hand with 2 turns
Carry and drag: carry 190lb keg drag back 500-600lb sled.
