Thanks Simon. It is fun! I should have taken vids of Eric running with 800+ on the yoke. That's impressive to say the least!

Whoops. There's a VM from me on it. No sweat - it's immaterial now that I hit the gym and did your recovery workout without you.

that log press looked ridiculously easy though. How far off were you on the miss?

If i were you, and you were close, i wouldn't count out taking the weight a good number of times. Lots of times for people like us who aren't real familiar with the implements yet, we don't get set right, or we don't clean the weight right, and something just feels off, and we miss the weight.

At least that's the way it is for me! haha!

Yeah, I heard it today. It was aweful quiet around the house yesterday without it.

I got 190 up enough that I could just shoot my head through. I know where I went wrong... let my air out during the clean. So when it was racked, my elbows were down and my back wasn't tight. This caused the log to drop when I dipped and I ended up losing my drive.

I was just testing the waters this week. The next month or so will all be technique work on log... heavy pressing will be DBs and BB.

Nice chin work on the stones. It's weird, the little techniques that make or break the lift.

4/8/08 - Deload week

Dynamic warmup and mobility

Front squat
3x3x135

Military press
3x3x125

Chinup
3x3xBW

Burpees
3x10

This got me breathing hard, but wasn't taxing at all. I used 30 second rest periods and moved the bar (and my body) as fast as I could with control. The whole workout took less than 20 minutes.
