Hey, Tina!

Just checking in on ya and wondering if you got or tried either of your Cathe stretching DVDs?

I hope your headache has subsided. Mine are hormonal, but damn, they can put me down for 4 days straight. So, I do hope yours aren't as bad.

Hooookay kids... let's clean it up in here, LOL....

Hey Steph, in fact I did get them both. I just ordered another 3 yoga-ish dvds also since overstock.com was kind enough to entice me with 1$ shipping, ha. Problem is, I used to do astanga yoga--Brian Kest's version--and if it doesn't hurt, I don't feel like I'm doing enough. I AM trying to chillax on this stuff but dang, I'm even competitive on how far I can stretch vs the person on the DVD!

Only another 4 days and I'm back in the game. Woohoo! Walking is b-o-r-i-n-g.

Boring to read about too. I have to drag "someone" along to talk to, otherwise I have to walk at night when there's no clouds. It's funner in the vibrams though. I have no idea why.

Hurry up and end your rest week so we can get your log back and track and maybe talk about lifting in here.

Incorrigibles!

Saturday I'm gonna have a fanfrikkintastic lifting session. I can feel it.

Today, again, I walked through my ghetto scary neighborhood at 5AM and was scared by several paper route peeps in rickety loud cars. I have a new mace dispenser complete with fluorescent dye so lookout, bad guys!

The good news is that my new lease starts July 8th, so soon enough I'll be in safetown. Can't wait.

In fact, I DO live in the east bay! I'm moving to the relative sleepy suburbia of Benicia in just a couple more weeks. I'm seriously scared of my current neighborhood.

I hear ya! I may have to move to Vacaville or something in order to purchase a house. South Bay is pathetic in that respect. Also, I dislike being just another brown engineer in the South Bay .

I grew up in the South Bay. It's truly not the same anymore. I hardly recognize it when I go back to visit.

Hey Tina! Ready to get back to lifting tomorrow? I know I am...vacation was great, but I will be happy to get back at it.

LOOK! A workout!!!

No PRs today, I'm afraid. Weak as a kitten:

(sets x reps x Kgs)

Snatch 3x15,3x3x25,2x30,2x2x35

C&J 3x2x35, 2x40, 3x1x45

Clean grip DL + shrug 2x40, 2x50, 2x55

Front squats 5x40, 4x50, 3x3x60 (these about killed me. Funny how two weeks off can make you feel puny)

Jerk balance + jerk 2x20,2x30,2x35,2x40

Drop snatch + 2OHS: 20kg, 25kg, 27.5 kg

Done. Weak and woozy, but it felt good to lift. Next meet is July 19th.

Sho'nuff did. I feel pretty sluggish though. Upcoming vacay to the Grand Canyon will net me another 5 day hiatus, too.

Good news: The official countdown to garage nirvana is in about 6 or 7 weeks, I think.

Nice workout. I dunno about the part where taking time off makes you weak. I usually feel strong after a week off or something but in my case that means I lift the blue DBs instead of the regular pink ones at my gym.

-Vimal

Weak as a kitteh huh? Something like this perhaps?

After a few weeks off I really can't wait to get back to training, but when I finally do I am usually disappointed with the workout. It can take a few days to get back into my groove.
