Relaxing... and filling. I ate like a pig.
Today--had MRI number two (of the right ankle). We'll see. Pissed me off, since I got up to go to the gym and realized that 4 AM was too late to go (since I had to be AT the MRI by 6 AM, and it takes 30 mins to get to work, and an hour to lift, and another ten minutes to get to/from the gym, and another 30 mins to shower and eat, and I didn't have my lunch packed yet, and...annoying).
Tahoe is awesome. Thumbs up, even though it drizzled and spat snow all weekend. We went to Emerald Bay and did some hiking, wayyyyy cool.

Mmmm. Had relatives over this weekend and they left a quart or two of blackberry wine slushie in my freezer.
Must. Resist.
Or not.

Eh. It sucked.
This morning:
FINALLY got a workout in:
Snatch 2x3xbar, 2x2x55,2x65,2x2x70 last set was very rough
C&J 3x45,3x55,2x3x65,3x75,2x2x80 still using my mother effing arms. ARRRRGH.
Pause/Dead hang clean explosive shrugs 2x80,2x95,2x110
Back squat 5x105,4x120,3x150,2x2x165,2x17 0 (almost bought the farm on the last rep), 10x115
Ran/walked for about 15 mins on the dreadmill. No pain, but very slow. Rt ankle MRI showed some weirdness, including a ? foreign body in my midfoot. WTF?!?!?!

extraterrestrial implant? gov't tracking device? illegal alien?
sorry you're still having so much pain with so little evidence of a treatable cause - what happens to your PT/fitness requirements if you medically cannot run (just curious)?

Well, I stop in here to ask the good doctor a completely hypothetical question and I find out she's hurt. I am sorry!! That sucks about your ankle. Are there plans to figure out what the foreign object is??
Here's my question (completely hypothetical, of course): Say a person was to get sunburned...what would be a good treatment for it?
And an update: the big molluscum is almost all gone...the tee-tinies are still here although they all got treated at the same time. I guess we can attribute that to her scraping the white yucky off. Yuck! Thanks for your help!

Hee hee... hypothetical, hmmm?
Well, solarcaine helps with the pain, and aloe vera gel is actually soothing. Mild (over the counter) hydrocortisone cream isn't very helpful... of course, prevention is the best treatment of all.
My ankles have both been very jacked up for months for no apparent reason that I can determine. I think the random foreign body is either, as Lisa suggested, a govt tracking device (you know, just in case I jump the border into Canada before my term of service is up, LOL) OR just an artifactual thing that isn't really there. Gotta love radiology.
Awesome about the molluscum. I do wish I could provide treatments to make stuff resolve more rapidly, but skin is slooooooow in its response. Good thing I'm so patient....
Thanks for poppin' in, lady.

Yeah, yeah, yeah....
So, I lifted *GASP* two days in a row. Since I'm flying to Texas today, I'm on leave and got to go to the gym AFTER the sun was up for a change. It makes a difference, apparently.
Snatch (below knee/hang/below knee): 2x3x45, 3x55, 3x65,2x3x70 These were all ridiculously easy. I think I actually managed to get full extension on several; they were effortless.
C&J lotsa warmups then 3x3x65,2x75,1x85,2x1x90 no problems, and I do believe I'm not pulling with my arms nearly as much. I'll have Ross tape this weekend to verify that.
Snatch grip explosive shrugs (from floor) 3x65,2x3x75
Snatch grip high pulls (from floor) 3x75
Drop snatch + OH squat 2x50,2x55,2x60,2x2x65 piece of cake (+5) and could have gone much heavier but didn't want to press my luck.
Busy in the gym and apparently I was a freak show. I have never had so many people staring at me in my life.

Have a great weekend "home" ... kudos to the step-child on the graduation!
Don't forget to have a drink for me with Paula on my birthday!!

Hi Tina! I knew nothing about OL before I started reading this log, now I feel educated.
I'm jealous of your weekend in Tahoe. But not of your foreign body.
