Nice vid. You're going so much deeper on the catch ... nice!
How have the ankles been feeling?

Hey Julie, they're feeling OK...
Thanks Bree, it wasn't as epic as I had hoped, but definitely not too craptastic.
Back squats: to 85kg x 1 x 2, no pain yay.
Sn: looooots of these. Sn to 45, failed at 47.5 x 2, then dropped to 35x3 for a couple sets, back up to 40 for a couple of singles
CJ: up to 55 for a couple of singles. Some good, some meh... earlier were better, elbows got more sluggish at the end which is not optimal.
More tomorrow.

Awesome lifting.
Did you notice there's another strong chick in town?
MissDeadlift finally started a log.. she still does Oly stuff, but it's mostly PL-oriented at the moment.

Haha Wendy. They're still hitting snooze on occasion.
Hai Tracey!
Thanks for keeping my log warm, girls. Not a helluva lot to log, getting ready for Australia... highlights from this weekend were CJ to 58, jerks from blocks to 60 with no probs, snatches to 48.5, FS to 80.
Really looking to hit 52-55 on my snatch and 65+ on the CJ but we shall see. Training meet this weekend then tapering begins. Dieting, btw, sucks.
That is all.

Since when did a log just have to be about working out? Give us the scoop on the Australia trip.

Yeah, master's world games. Oct 10-17.
Today's lifting:
Snatching up to 50kg, missed 52 twice but had it overhead dammit. Next time.
CJ: up to 52.5 no issues, hit 55 and had a complete loss of technique sooooooooo bagged it for today. It's weird, sometimes I gots rhythm, and sometimes it is nowhere to be found.
*shrug*

You kinda snuck that one in. You're competing? Or just going to visit Simon C.?

I thought I mentioned it a long time ago... but I'm competing. If Simon wants to come and critique the depth of my squat on my catches, then I guess I'll be visiting him too. LOL.

Could be right, but as someone who grew up in Canada there's something appealing about a city where you can commute to work by ferry. Oh, and meeting locals who've never seen snow.

Man this log is getting cobwebby.
Here's today's meet, minus the first snatch. Went 43/46/49 on snatches which were totally power snatches today, 54/58/61 on CJ. I think the last set of white lights was a bit of a gift but whatever. Total 110, +7kg meet
PR . I'll take it. Got a lot more in the tank, the lifts felt easy.
