Sorry logging has been a little remiss.... I've been doing a lot of work to get my pop popping. Glutes fire better but not consistently; when they work right at the right time, stuff just flies up.
Last night got some stuff worked out on snatching (am finally getting glutes to do their effing job) and worked up to 45x1x4.
Started w FS up to 82.5
CJs sucked raw sewage so those were set aside until tonight--was pulling w arms a LOT so better to not reinforce the wrong, old patterns.
BS 55x2x2, 72.5x2, 82.5x2, 87.5x1
Done.
Body feels pretty good--knock wood. All this ART and PT is doing something.
Seriously? Your ass??? Lazy??....well...mine must be dead then... I guess when you get so good...you have to be attentive to the details...then again being attentive to the details is probably what got you so good.
Well I've been logging sporadically for a reason. Something's up with my right knee. Still. Again. Whatever. It might just be the increasing movement at that joint I don't know, but anyway MRI to come and PT tonight might have to focus on it rather than the lazy ass issue.
Anyway, last night I box squatted to 50kgx3x5 and power snatched to 42.5. The last few pretty much sucked.
Got very little accomplished despite not getting home until 8 pm.
I have a lazy ass too (left side). I was incredulous given the sheer size of my glutes.
*shrug*
Hope they figure out this knee issue ... what exactly is happening? Is it just pain? If so, look in that trigger point book ... much of my anterior knee pain has resolved by working out the triggers in my quadzilla quads.

So, PT said the following: suuuuuuuuuuuuuper tight rectus femoris on the rt, suuuuuuuuuuuuuper tight posterior tibialis, adductor/hamstring with fascial adhesions, couldn't fully extend leg until he grastoned it, ankles w tight retinaculum, and peroneus brevis is a bitch.
And my glute is lazy, but not as much as before.
This PT was a he. No good stories, either, just a lot of ART, PNF stretching, and graston. I'm moving better, we'll see how tonight goes.
There is nothing abnormal to either the sports med's or the PTs exam in the knee. So, yay.
looks like you're getting a lot more flexible from your first vids, and you also look A LOT more comfortable on the catches.
Haha if you mean my first vids EVAH, damn, I hope so! LOL.
Thanks Zach

****************************** *******
Yesterday: missed my Friday workout due to a serious blackberry meltdown... since it's my only phone, and since I'm technically "on call", I had to make sure that was functional. So, got an unplanned day of rest which netted me little.
FS: bar x 5, 35x3, 45x3, 55x2, 65x3, 65x3
Sn bar, 25x3, 30x3, 35x2, 40x2, 42.5x1, 45xF, 45x1, 45x1, 40x1x2
The 45kg sn were weird, so dropped down just to end on a high note
CJ bar, 25x3, 35x2, 40x2, 45x1, 47.5x1, 50x1, 52.5x1x2, 55x2 but screwed up jerk both times. So, a few jerk drills and jerks off the boxes just to try to pattern it better and establish a better rhythm overall.
Thursday's w/o was better, but whatever. Monday will be good, I'm determined.
