Tina, take care of that wrist.....back in '08 when I sprained mine, I kept thinking it was OK and would go at it and then it would start hurting again. It took a LONG time to heal completely. Had the whole wrist brace from the ortho and everything, too.
FS: up to 85 no problem, failed 88 again grr.
Snatches: up to 51kg (+1). Missed it 3x but dammit, I got it.
Jerks from blocks (behind head) up to 67.5 (+7.5)
BS: to 95, then 90x1x3 (+15)
I've honestly avoided working out at night, late afternoon being my latest. Although eventually I'll have to as schedules change. Do you have trouble sleeping afterwards? I'm kind of laughing as I ask that because sometimes I could collapse on the floor after, but I do wonder about sleep.

I fall asleep fine, but I wake up throughout the night. I've had insomnia for years though.

Thanks Wendy. I know, I'm my own worst critic.
Today:
FS 55x2, 65x2, 75x1, 82.5x1, 85x1, 80x1 I think....maybe missed one in there somewhere.
Sn: 25x3, 35x2, 42.5x2, 45x1, 48.5xFx3, dropped to 35 to try out a slightly faster pop which went great, back to 40, 42.5, 45 with a couple misses, back to 35 for a few beautiful sn with great hip pop and fast drop/lockout. I'm on the edge of a serious epiphany again. 55, here I come (via 52 first, of course. )
Jerks off blocks (from behind) 35x2, 45x2, 55x1, 65xFx2. Too big of a jump on the last and then I was tired.
I have vid I'll post it later. I did not hit butt on heels on the 100 but I did on the 92.5 and the 97.5.
Overall kind of a mixed bag. My legs are sore from the heavy heavy squats, but I'm getting so much stronger it doesn't impact much other than my ass hurting when I'm in the hole.
I know! Oh, and for those of you NOT paying attention...a 100kg back squat = 220 pounds. Woot!
Awww. Thanks!

Well here's the proof: I'm jumping a bit fwd on that snatch, but you can see my hips are finally learning to play a role. The others were better but not taped, alas.
I love it when you post video! I should scare up my video challenge thread. this would be a great one for that thread! maybe I will resurrect it after my november race when I can start training for strength again. If I could get to one rep of 135 (POUNDS, that is) for my back squat ATG, I would do cartwheels. and I eventually want to bench my weight. someday!
Damn, I can't see video at work, but I KNOW without even seeing it that EVERYONE should view to see what a REAL squat looks like!
To put this into perspective....I'm doing quarter squats in between ATG squat sets as part of my Strength training. I did quarter squats at 175 lbs last workout and they scared me to death! Truly, I cannot ever imagine going all the way down with that kind of weight. Really inspiring, Tina!
I used to be one of those people that was impressed by leg press numbers, both mine and others, LOLZ. it is amazing to me how much a machine can overcome weaknesses in stabilizer muscles. you can't hide behind a machine when you are free squatting!! on a recent fitcast, jonathan fass was cracking on those dudes who brag about their leg press numbers, but can't squat 135 with good form. funny!
This is SOOOOOO true at my gym, too, Wendy! I swear....it's just me and this guy friend of mine at my gym who squat ATG. Nobody else does. Pitiful, really.
For me, they don't have to be ATG/ATF - just proper parallel depth would be useful if you are going to call it a squat. Just don't curtsey/quarter-squat 180 and then tell me you are squatting 180 for reps.
/hijack
Good squatting Tina - I'm impressed but not surprised. You're getting really strong. But I'm wondering what your spotter-in-waiting said when you finished the rep; I can't tell from his expression what he was thinking.

Lisa, I think I know exactly where you are coming from here....and TOTALLY agree!! I should revise what I said earlier.....there are only the two of us at my gym who squat parallel or below! But, I hear ya on the 180.
I'm not sure I could walk out 180 lbs right now, much less 1/4 squat it. I'm just getting used to Rippetoe-esque bar position & holding against my back.
Nice video! I 2nd Wendy - I love it when people post vids of their lifts, it's educational and inspiring!

again - props to Tina on the 100 kg.
Thanks guys! I totally appreciate all the kind words. As I've discovered recently, strength is totally relative (they are still teasing me about telling them I had strong legs when I got there). My goal is at least 100kg front squat, 120+ kg back squat, so I have a little more work ahead of me! I'm starting to wonder how much I can deadlift now... it has been a looooong time since I've done any of those. Thre isn't any useful carry over for me at this point though, so I think it will continue to be a mystery for the time being.
I think I'm gonna try to clean with lighter weights tonight and see how that goes--taped and wrapped like a mummy, of course. Keeping fingers crossed... wrist feels good. *knocking wood*
