Thanks guys. It was a lot of fun. There were definitely some form issues on the snatching yesterday, but whatever. More practice is in my future, anyway.
This was the first meet where I really wasn't that nervous, which is really a new phenomenon. Hopefully that keeps up.
CJ to 50 for looooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oots of singles, like 10. No misses. Jerks getting better.
Sn: to 45 for 3 singles and 2 dump in fronts--just a little pokey on the drop and soft in the catch. Went back down to 40 for a couple to correct it. Fixed.
FS: 2x50, 2x60, 2x65, 1x70, 1x75, 1x80 (+2 PR), 3x1x75... only 20 kg to go (but I get r-e-s-p-e-c-t at 90kg by report, so almost there!)
Sn: up to 47.5 (+0.5), then under 50 twice but dropped it. Grr. Failed on two additional 50kg attempts there too. Got better as I went; I'll get it this week.
CJ: up to 55kg, good jerks, shitty cleans. Rt wrist issues today with bad catches.
I was watching an episode of something the other night (was about darts) and they were talking about when everything is in alignment and you're just 'in the zone'.

Snatching: lots and lots and LOTS of singles, up to 45 then back to 35 then 40 for single after single after single
Wrist wraps--I guess I'm just going to have to accept the fact that I need them and suck it up. Today was fine with wraps.

ETA: the last time I found RDLs oly style, it said 35kg. +30???? LOL. Sandbagging much?
Done. So, total today was 107.5; that's +4.5 from the meet on Saturday. I'll take it. Tomorrow is light singles day and max FS attempts again in the garage, so I'll shoot for that 83+ again tomorrow.
Jason (trainer) keeps talking about trying to get an Oly club together at our gym, so we could have people to train with, etc etc... your new gym with lots of people to train with sounds wonderful!!
Snatches: did some light SBs to warm up to 30kg, some normal snatchy wu stuff, then did about 15 singles at 40. I'm dumping them behind me now more often when I dump them, which is new. Way out of the groove today on these for some reason.
CJs: slow warmup cuz of rt wrist, I'm trying to baby it somewhat. Went up to 45-50kg for 7 singles and called it--again, not in the groove
FS didn't redeem me, either. 55x2, 65x2 felt heavy, 75x1, 80--nope. Unracked it and said ummmmm no. 70x1 and done.
Very subpar overall. I prefer working out at the gym, might just start going there more and do some fun stuff at home one day/week that doesn't involve the actual lift itself. Plan this week is to go Tu-Fr or Sa, depending. Next meet is Aug 9th, so I'm actually preparing for that one this time around.
