THAT does NOT sounds like fun!! That's what they wanted to do to my knees awhile back, but after they said two needles I was like..NOPE...I'm not in that much pain... Hopefully the triamcinolone helps a little...sorry your day sucked!!!!
Sometimes I think we as doctors subconsciously do shit that really hurts so patients just go away....

Bummer on the DJD ... but remember that arthritic changes do NOT necessarily = pain. Just limit/avoid the activities that aggravate ... like running. Will the AF let you test another way or does it HAVE to be running? I would think with an MD clearance they would let you test a different way. Of course, how does it affect your monthly "run around with guns" stuff?
ha! If they're having me run around with a gun, the world is officially ending. I'm medical, so I'm a noncombatant. I can do cycle ergometry but need to get a waiver process going, which I've requested. They are not going to be sticking any more needles into that joint space, sorry. It feels better this morning but couldn't wear my camo uniform due to the boots putting pressure along the anterior ankle, not having it AT ALL today.
I figured now's the time to add glucosamine. Dammit, I feel all broken.

I fixed it for you.
sorry about the ankle - hope the steroid it gives you some relief - at least if your pain is better after the steriod it should tell you something about what is going on painwise, right?
Wow that's an UGLY cat! Holy crap! I think even I'd drown that one... and I'm only one cat shy of official CCL status.
LOL @ Lisa. I'll deny that til the day I die. It's totally below my level of awareness, I swear!
Meh. I'll run if chased. That should suffice. You know, we used to do our annual physical fitness test via cycle ergometry (which is the fallback method, a 3 mile VERY fast walk is an option if cycling isn't possible), but the other services made so much fun of the "chair force" that I think the upper level muckety mucks got their panties in a twist. Honestly, if we were doing annual testing, I might still try to just run it, but it's at 6 month intervals now, so bring on the stationary bike.
I guess I'd better buy a bike and actually ride it, or I'm doooooomed to fail.
Dammit... now I have to worry about making sure I don't laugh too loudly in the cube farm.
Sorry about the ouchy ankle.

When we in the "other services" used to tease the chair force, it is only because we a jealous of 1) flight pay and 2) air conditioned billets.
Now of course, no one gives damn as long as y'all are over head, on time, and on target!

Looking sharp Tina. Your split jerks are nice and explosive.
Sorry, not much to pick apart there

Okay this is me who knows nothing, but in the first video, why do you lean so far back sometimes????

And thanks, guys. It's weird how everything sucks and then suddenly it's OK for a second with no apparent change other than being reconciled to sucking for (hopefully only) a little while.
