That's just wroooooooooooooong. And she didn't even get the lift, more's the pity. If you're gonna piss your singlet, the least you can do is complete the task. Jeesh.
*note to self: definitely hit the bathroom right before lifting next meet.
Probably not that uncommon as the pelvic floor muscles are at their most relaxed position at the bottom of a deep squat. (Def. empty the bladder before comp!!!)
Nice workouts ...

Few workouts went unlogged the last couple of days....
The high points:
OHS to 47.5 kg x 3 (PR, +2.5, + reps)
snatches to 41 kg
Halting snatches to 38 or 39 kg, can't recall....
CJs to 49kg
Dead hang cleans 25kg
Jerks to 50kg
JBs, cannot for the life of me remember how heavy on these
Snatch pulls to the knee 3x65 kg (+5 or 10... can't seem to find anything heavier than 55kg in the book previously).
Thanks, Jane. Yeah, I'm going up on all the accessory lifts, which should transfer over into the full lifts aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaany day now. If my brain would stfu, I'm sure I'd be snatching 50 and CJing 60-65 right now, because it's not a strength issue for me at all. It's all technique and self-mind-effing... but mostly the latter, I believe. Funny how you can
Next meet is.... dunno. I was planning on doing nationals but have no coach attending and no other lifters that I know from here (here=SF) are going, so I decided to nix that one. The next local one I could have done is mid-May, but since I'm going to Fla to cover a clinic that's short a dermatologist at the beginning of May, that leaves that one out, too.
I'll just have to find as many local pissant meets on that side of the country that I can, I guess. I definitely need to do more to get my contest nerve issues solved.
You really are pretty damn strong, Tina and I think I said it before, but I think it's awesome that you stepped back to work on form. It will do you so much better in the long run.

Nice!!! Love the +5 on the snatches... I fell on my butt (more than once) yesterday, which gives me even more admiration for people who can do 'em right!
Today: man, lots of hopping on my cleans. I'm in the midst of an aggressive diet week so am not up to snuff as far as mental acuity and glycogen go. No excuse, just a statement.
High hang cleans--although I suspect they weren't high hangy enough, we'll see... lots of hopping on these too. Meh. warmup sets then 2x40,2x2x45, 2x1x47.5, 4x1x50 all epic F
Jerks from the rack--warmups then 2x40,2x45,1x47.5, 1x50, 1x52.5
Hey girl. Just did a teavana flyby via electrons and fiber optic cables. Of course, I gotta order 50 bucks worth to take advantage of free shipping, right? hahah

Thanks Tom. It sucked! This all ends on Saturday after a practice deplete just to make sure that I'll make 58 kg for next comp. I would like to train at 60kg; I feel pretty good here overall but just need to be certain that's low enough to hit 58 predictably. I'm excited to see how it all turns out, but I'm MOST excited to think about actually maintaining instead of dieting. *fingers crossed*
Today: well, today my workout consisted of being on my back on an exam table sweating and gritting my teeth while the sports med guy stuck a damned needle into my rt ankle joint and pumped in 2mL of lidocaine and 20mg of triamcinolone. Apparently, I have some degenerative joint disease cookin' in there which didn't show up on plain films--this really helps to explain the ongoing pain in the ankles with running, though. Now that the lidocaine has worn off, it really hurts. It's full of fluid and steroid but the whole ankle is so stiff I can barely move it sitting here. Not cool. I am totally not up for a repeat on this, it sucked, and truth be told, I would rather just never run again (unless being chased and/or fearing for my life). Back to cycle ergometry for MY fitness testing, mofos! Stupid ass Air Force has ruint me.

THAT does NOT sounds like fun!! That's what they wanted to do to my knees awhile back, but after they said two needles I was like..NOPE...I'm not in that much pain... Hopefully the triamcinolone helps a little...sorry your day sucked!!!!
What were they doing? Something diagnostic?
Bummer on the DJD ... but remember that arthritic changes do NOT necessarily = pain. Just limit/avoid the activities that aggravate ... like running. Will the AF let you test another way or does it HAVE to be running? I would think with an MD clearance they would let you test a different way. Of course, how does it affect your monthly "run around with guns" stuff?
