Nope. No camera with me. I refuse to bring more than a carry on, limits my space a wee bit.

Thanks Julie! I'm tryin'.
So, today I got my teavana package. DEFRIGGINLICIOUS!
After a four hour flight, I rethought my plan of lifting when I got home and went for a loooong walk instead. Lift in the AM instead, I guess.
The verdict on the cool home oly gym: Werksan, squat stands, platform for now. I'll add as I go. Thanks for all the advice, everyone.
SSF/SSH/SSF: 3x3@25,3@30,3@32.5,4x3@34 (+1.5 kg for this rep scheme) last rep ugly. Excellent snatching today. Didn't miss a single one--never dumped. Fun! But exhausting, so my cleans sucked ass again.
SCF: squat clean from floor
SCH: squat clean from hang
SCF/SCH/SCF: 3@25,3x3@35Alas. KILLING my lateral upper arms and brachioradialis--not letting it roll to my fingertips, catching way the hell off today. Some intermittent weirdness with me coming up on my left toe on ascent, too.
Switched to PC + FS for singles: 35,37.5,40 kg. More pain. Damn, damn, damn.
Clean high pulls 2@40,2@45,2@50,2@55,2@60 (+5)
Clean grip DL w shrug 2@65,2@70,2@75,2@80
Jerk behind head 3@20,2@30,2@35,2@40,3x1@45
FS 5@40,4@50,3@55,1@60,2@60 FS stalled at this weight right now, apparently. Diet is doing me in on strength gains right now. Good thing I'm still a n00b so I can get technique improvements at least.
Nice work. Remember that the better you get on pushing your technique to it's limits, the more tired you're going to be for the front squats (there at the end?). Don't sweat it and keep sweating off those lbs.
Just saying hi to sub to your log. Since all of you cool kids moved to the separate badass section, I'm afraid I'll miss some education hidden away in here.

Well, I still suck, but less. So thanks.
For some reason I'm having a Richard Simmons sweatin' to the oldies flashback here. Arrrgh!

Awesome, Diane. Thanks for popping in. You officially have a frickin' hysterical log name, btw!

No seriously, I'll tape every couple/few weeks.
Oh yes, before I forget--next comp in July, outside! That will be interesting. There's some festival or something. Should be fun. I'm hoping to get to the 58kg class for the next one, even if it's just long enough to register for the nanosecond I'm on the scale.

Tentatively... it all really depends on how things go at work because we are getting close to an application launch.

Ummm.... sort of. I admit, I skimp the most on the stretching/mobility thing. I am still getting a lot more ROM just from holding the bar overhead, and my shoulder feels pretty darned good, so.... I do a hella ton of warmups.
SSF/SSH/SSF: 2x3@45,2x3@50,2x3@55,2x3@45,2x 3@50,2x3@55,3@60, 3@65easy but a little iffy on the last set
HPC + 2J (Thigh/knee/BK): 3x55,3x65,2x3@70,2x3@75cleans still sucked ass
Snatch high pull 2x3x65, 3x70
JBH 3x45,3x55,2x65,2x70,2x75,2@85
Back squat 5x95,4x120,3x140,2@160, 2x2@165 (+5)
This 4 AM shit has got to stop. I seem to do well at around 10-1030; maybe the AF will fire me and I can lift instead of do that pesky working for a living gig.
Added 5 lbs to the squats today. I'm tired. I think I can hit 180 rock bottom for 2 if someone was standing behind me just in case.
how long have you been doing the 4am workouts? That's around the time i would lift at Chad's. I'd wake up at 2:30 or so, and then leave at 3:30 to get there at 5:00. You'll get used to it eventually.

Since my intern year in 2001--if I didn't do it before they worked my ass off for 14 hours in the hospital, it wouldn't happen. I trained for my one and only marathon mostly with 330 AM runs, and long runs on the weekends. It SUCKED, but I got in the habit, and apparently, it has stuck.

Trust me. You can get used to it, Tracey. It's actually a great way to start the day, but it's harder for me to be coordinated enough to OL well.

I walk at 530, does that count?
Man, I cannot WAIT to get my friggin' set. Then I can see how 5 pm treats me...
