I don't usually *get* the shoe thing - but this one I seem to understand at a deeper level.

Took the week off because I was feeling worn out and on the verge of getting sick. Feeling much better today so I trained.

Warmup - dynamic, stretching, bar warmups. I did a LOT of warmup stuff and extra stretching this morning.

Snatch - 2x2x20kg, 2x2x25kg, 1x27.5kg, 1x30kg, 1x32.5kg, 8x1x35kg

Front Squats - 2x20kg, 2x30kg, 2x40kg, 2x50kg, 3x2x55kg

Reverse Hypers - 3x10xBW+10#DB

Push Press - 3x20kg, 3x30kg, 2x3x40kg

More stretching.

That's it. Felt good to be back at it, but I kept it light. Beautiful Fall day here today and I am in puppy-prep mode. We pick up the girl on Thursday!!!! I am beyond excited.

Lots going on lately. My son had the flu for the past few days. Likely H1N1, but who knows since I didn't take him to the doctor. He was pretty sick for one day, but yesterday and today he has been much better. No fever today at all. Crossing fingers I don't get it!

We also get the puppy tomorrow!!! Yayyyyy!!!! Will post pics for sure.

Oh, and a workout. Not bad today.

Warmups - dynamic, stretching, bar (lots o warmups)

Front Squat - 2x20kg, 2x30kg, 2x40kg, 1x50kg, 1x55kg, 1x60kg, 3x1x65kg

Snatch - 2x2x20kg, 2x25kg, 1x27.5kg, 1x30kg, 1x32.5kg, 5x1x35kg, 1x37.5kg, 1x38.5kg, 1x40kg, 1x41kg, 1x42.5kg, 1x35kg, 3xbar

That's it. Snatches were just okay today. The past week I was just feeling blech and now I guess it was because I'm fighting off whatever is in the air.

Around here they say if you have the flu, it is most likely H1N1 as it's really too early for anything else.

Best of luck with the puppy - lock the shoes in a closet at all times until she's at least a year old

Exactly. That's really why I didn't bother taking him to the doctor. I just watched him carefully to make sure there were no complications and made sure he was well hydrated and all that fun stuff.

I know about the shoes! I am putting them behind lock and key!

Can't wait to see puppy pics!

Glad Harry's flu wasn't too severe, and crossing fingers that you don't get it... When my DS had a flu-like bug this summer, the doc did the nose swab and it came up negative... BUT, it was supposed to be a nasal-pharyngeal swab (jam it up the nose to your brain, according to my daughter, who had the positive test) and the doc here didn't do that at all... so I'm thinking he DID have h1n1 but the swab wasn't deep enough to be accurate... ??????

Cute cute cute.
And I'll second the shoes thing (Daily loves my Ugg slippers) ... and she's recently discovered the bathroom trashcans. Oh joy. Should make TTOTM really fun.

Awesome pic - and LOVE the pink collar!

I think her picture should be next to the definition of "warm fuzzies"

Couple days of workouts to log. It's been all puppy all the time around here. She's doing really, really well...but is definitely a lot of work. Can't let her out of your sight for a second.

Saturday Training w/Coach

Warmups - usual

Snatch - 2x2x20kg, 2x1x25kg, 1x28kg, 1x30kg, 1x32kg, 5x1x35kg, 1x37kg, 1x39kg, 1x40kg ,1x41kg, 1x42kg, 1x43kg, 1x44kg, 1x40kg, 1x35kg, 3xbar

C&J - 2x2x25kg, 1x30kg, 3x1x35kg, 1x38kg, 1x40kg, 1x42kg, 1x44kg, 2x1x47kg, 1x35kg, 3xbar

that's it. I lost steam at the end of the C&J workout, but overall it was a pretty good day.

Today's training

Warmups - did some extra dynamic warmups and extended stretching before and after

Front Squats - 2x20kg, 2x30kg, 2x40kg, 1x50kg, 1x60kg, 1x65kg, 1x67.5kg, 1x70kg (PR)

Rack Jerks - 2x3x20kg, 3x30kg, 1x40kg, 1x45kg, 1x47.5kg, 1x50kg, 1x52.5kg, 1x55kg, 1x50kg, 3x40kg, 3xbar

Done. Really pleased that I FINALLY got my 70kg front squat. This mental barrier has been bothering me for months. Hopefully this is a good sign that strength will begin to go up again.

Off to enjoy the perfect Fall weather we're having around here. Actually, it's waaaaaaaaaayyyy too good to be true!

Nice PR on that front squat!!!

The weather here is incredible too... DH and I took a nice hike (about 90 minutes) - it was too pretty to stay inside today. Planning a little bonfire at a friend's house tonight too - it'll be back to rain/sleet/snow/yuck way too soon...
