Hey Tracey! Thanks for stopping by...

Decent workout today.

Warmups - usual

Reverse Hypers 3x10xBW (unweighted just to get that SI warmed up)

Front Squat - 2x20kg, 1x30kg, 1x40kg, 1x50kg, 1x60kg, 1x65kg, 1x68.5kg, 1x70kg (F)

Rack Jerks - 4x20kg, 2x30kg, 1x40kg, 1x42.5kg, 2x47.5kg, 4x50kg, 1x51kg, 1x52.5kg

PP - 3x20kg, 3x30kg, 3x32.5kg, 3x35kg, 2x3x37.5kg, 2x3x38.5kg

Step Ups - 2x5x25# DBs

Since my jerks were the limiting factor in my last meet I plan to take some time really working on technique over the next few weeks. Oh, that 68.5kg FS was a .5kg PR and I was very close on that 70kg but no dice. Hopefully next week.

Jerks were the limiting factor? I though the illness was?

Good job pushing through.

Yeah, the illness sure was. But the jerks were too. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Workout today.

Warmup - usual

Front Squats - 3x20kg, 3x30kg, 3x40kg, 6x4x50kg

Snatch - 3x1x20kg, 1x25kg, 1x27.5kg, 1x30kg, 1x32kg, 5x1x35kg, 1x36kg, 1x37.5kg, 2x1x38.5kg, 2x1x40kg, 1x41kg, 1x42.5kg, 2x1x43.5kg, 3x1x40kg

Push Press Behind Head - 3x40kg, 3x41kg, 3x42kg

My legs were pretty trashed after the front squats and this made snatching difficult. By the time I reached push presses it was near-comedy.

6x4x50kg! I'd say trashed legs would be an understatement... Amazed you could even walk, nevermind snatch or push press!

Back at it today.

Warmups

Jerks - 2x20kg, 1x30kg, 1x40kg, 1x42.5kg, 1x45kg, 3x1x47.5kg, 1x48.5kg, 1x50kg, 2x1x51kg, 1x52.5kg, 1x53.5kg, 1x54.5kg, 1x50kg (jerk boxes would make this so much easier).

Push Press - 3x3x40kg, 3x41kg

Front Squat - 6x2x50kg

Reverse Hypers - 2x10xBW+10# DB between feet

Thats all I got. Tired and not snappy today, but jerk technique is slowly improving.

Yes they do!

Hey, after reading your post about your lazy glutes I thought I would mention my apparently unlazy glutes. I swear all this squatting lately is growin' my wheelz. I need to take a trip to Nordstrom this weekend to shop for some new jeans since myass is bustin' outta mine. Either that or I will need to start shopping at the bodybuilding store to accommodate my hyugeness. I need to stop with all the gainers I'm drinking i guess.

I've seen some people take gainers and they STILL have a flat ass. You can chalk yours up to all of your great lifting, Jill. Maybe cuz your squats hit your glutes instead of your quads! They could definitely take care of you at the BB store....remember those BB jeans they had at The Arnold?

Thats why you gotta get into recomping/BBing. So that you can have more say in where you lose and gain in certain places...

LOL...I loved that show.

So trained with the coach today. The weather is freakin' perfect. Sunny, low humidity and 72 degrees. Perfect lifting weather!

Snatch - 2x2x20kg, 2x1x25kg, 1x27kg, 2x1x30kg, 1x33kg, 5x1x35kg, 1x37kg, 2x1x38kg, 2x1x39kg, 1x40kg, 1x41kg, 1x42kg, 1x43kg, 1x44kg, 1x45kg (PR)

C&J - 2x25kg, 1x30kg, 2x1x35kg, 1x38kg, 1x40kg, 1x42kg, 2x1x45kg, 1x47kg, 1x48kg, 1x50kg, 2x1x45kg

Done. I was damn tired at the end and just didn't feel like doing any heavier cleans. Skipped squats because I'm going to do them tomorrow morning. That 45kg snatch felt fairly easy and I maybe could have done more, but my coach said i was slowing down and I should just call it a day. Wise words.

Thanks gals!

Today's workout was a little lackluster cuz I was plain tired. I was hoping to get some big squat numbers, but I was outta gas.

Warmups

Front Squats - 2x20kg, 1x30kg, 1x40kg, 1x50kg, 1x60kg, 4x1x65kg

Rack Jerks - 3x1x20kg, 2x1x30kg, 2x1x40kg, 2x1x42.5kg, 1x45kg, 5x1x50kg, 2x1x51kg, 2x21x52.5kg

Done. I planned to do more, but decided to call it a day.

Thanks ladies! Yeah, i'm pretty happy with my lackluster workouts most of the time. I always try to keep it in perspective. Today's workout was tough! Squatastic.

Warmups - stuff

Front Squats - 2x20kg, 2x30kg, 2x40kg, 6x5x50kg

Snatch - 2x2x20kg, 2x2x25kg, 1x27.5kg, 1x30kg, 1x32.5kg 6x1x35kg

PP Behind Head - 3x20kg, 3x30kg, 3x40kg, 3x3x42.5kg

Phew, done. I planned to do more snatches but after doing 6 reps at 35kg I was like...okay, that's enough for today.
