Nice PR! I can totally see how your technique is improving after just a few weeks with the oly group. Very nice ...
So, when's the comp?

Youre ending up similar to Alco in that vid:
Becoming a Squat Freak
You are starting with your hips way too low and thats causing you to pull the bar with your arms and shift forward on the toe before you reach extension (check out your heels in the pic below, they should be flat):
And this is what happens when you actually do extend (notice that your knees and hips are bent even though youre extended from the toes and shrugging. Compare it to my pic in the link above where my legs are straight and in line with my hips):
The last thing is to stay on the floor. Dont think about jumping so much as just standing up and shrugging. The toes will take care of themselves:
So raise your hips higher in your start position so that you can stay over the bar longer and keep it closer longer. That way you wont have to shift your weight forward and then do all of the above.

Meh, all you gotta do is put your ass a little higher up in the air.

Watch this, I start low like you do but I do it to get a stretch and pull my shoulders back. Look at how I raise my hips into positon to stay over it. You need to raise them up to a similar height.

Decent workout today. Worked on Clean and Jerks.
Warmup: cat/camel, birddogs, glute bridge, scap pushups, wall slides, leg swings, hip corrections, squat to stand, extra shoulder warmups, calf warmup
Clean + 5 Jerks 2x20kg, 2x25kg
Clean + 3 Jerks 2x30kg
Clean & Jerk 5x1x35kg, 1x1x37.5kg, 5x1x40kg, 3x1x45kg,
GHRs 3x10xBW+10# Plate
Single Leg Full ROM Calf Raise 3x10xBW+10# (getting that calf strong again)
That's it. Felt really good today...probably since I'm on a diet break this week.

Yep, got it. I think my problem is that I'm overcompensating while trying to fix my previous problem of rising up butt first. I think it will take me a bit to get it just right.
That's a purdy snatch you got there Manny.

Thanks for the Magnesium Tip in Diane's Journal. Bob has a really hard time getting to sleep and maybe that will be something to help (he can't turn his brain off at night)

The brain thing is my issue, too. The mag supplement I take does absolutely nothing for me, though. Maybe if I take 'em with a shot or two of whiskey.... *hic*

Okay workout today. I expected it to be better, but it didn't live up to expectations. Jerks just weren't working for me today. Cleans were good though.
Warmup: the usual plus extra shoulder stuff
C+3 Jerks 2x20kg, 2x25kg, 2x30kg
Clean & Jerk 2x1x35kg, 10x1x40kg
Jerk Behind Head 3x5x70#
Chins 3x5xBW
Deficit DL 2x8x65kg
Dips 2x8xBW
Planks 2x90 seconds
Done. Everything felt pretty good except jerks. I wasn't getting a deep enough split with the heavier weight. Not sure what's going on, but I'm meeting w/the other lifters on Saturday so I can get some pointers. DLs off the box were tough work but my hands are feeling MUCH better.
It's a beautiful day today so all is good.

Hey Tom. It's a Panasonic 3CCD vid camera. It's a few years old, but works pretty well.

Cool - I'd've commented on your lifts, but I don't know much about Olympic lifting. But your most recent videos show your going a lot smoother.
