Yeah, stress is no fun. I'm hoping things will start to calm down a bit. I did my pullups today...

It'a amazing how much easier pullups get when you weigh less.

Hai! Things are good. I'm hoping I have time for a workout today. This page needs a damn workout ya know? Oh, I went shopping yesterday too. No shoes, but got some new cute dresses and such for work.

OMG, today was a hectic day. I decided this morning that I would ride my bike with the new kid-trailer to swim class. It was a great ride, but it's pretty warm and humid here and by the time I got to swim class I was literally pouring sweat (and I'm not really a sweat-er). We then rode to breakfast in town and rode all around town since there's a street fair on. Then to the park and then back to town (our balloon "sword" popped at the park so we had to go back UPHILL for another) and then home. All told it was around 15 miles, but towing a trailer and 42 pounds of kid was some hard work! Especially on the couple uphills. My clothes were soaked and when I got home I was sooooooooooooooo tired.
BUT, I still had some training to do. Luckily, coach isn't around today (Junior Olympics are in town and he was doing some stuff there). So I went to a friend's place (they have two platforms in the garage) to train. I was wiped out. Snatches were okay, worked up to 35kg and did about 10 there. Did a few Clean and Jerks and then skipped squats.
I'll finish it up when I work out tomorrow morning. Phew, I am exhausted. Next time I'll do the bike ride on a day where I'm not training.

Hey, another workout. Back to back posts too. Today's workout wasn't so great though.
C&J - singles up to 45kg and about 5 at that weight. These felt pretty good.
Full Back Squats - 7x40kg, 5x45kg, 3x50kg
This is where things got bad. After my third set of squats I started getting muscle spasms around my SI joint. It didn't exactly hurt, but it felt strange. I decided to call it a day. It has really stiffened up as the day has progressed though. Not sure if this was caused by fatigue from yesterday's biking and lifting or if I strained something. At any rate, I did some stretching and iced the area. I'm actually taking the rest of the week off as I'll be traveling for work this week and won't get back until Saturday. I guess a week off will do me good.
I've been VERY stressed out lately due to our childcare sitution (or lack of childcare that is). However, there's a light at the end of the tunnel...we have hired a new nanny and she starts tomorrow! Fingers crossed. The past few weeks have been VERY hectic and I'm really looking forward to things returning to "normal".

DIng ding ding! I'm blaming the kid-toting bicycling for your SI phunk.
Yay for nannies... but if she shows up in a victorian-style gown with an umbrella on her first day, LOCK THE DOOR.
Hope this week is hassle-free, Jill.
