Well I could throw out some BS about the whole Q-angle/wide hips stuff, and the anecdote that it seems all women I've seen have had issues one way or another hitting full squat depth.
But the important matter here is that I have beer, and I'm ok with that.

So, had an exhausting workout today with the local lifters. Lots of snatches at 27.5kg to work on technique. Apparently I have way too much tension in my upper body and getting me to relax my arms has proven almost impossible. However, there's hope because out of the gazillian snatches I did, 3 were just right. For the rest, I was able to complete the lift, but basically I was using too much arm and not dropping fast enough. Frustrating.
Then came C&Js and those were fine. No problems with my upper body relaxing on these, jerks were good too. I did a bunch at 35 kgs. Ripped three calluses open. My hands are a mess and I had to tape them in the end. Finished off the workout with some 50kg front squats.
There may be a meet next month. I need to confirm the date and make sure it meshes with my schedule...but if all goes well, I'm all in.
Good workout today. Worked on snatches. I am definitely improving, but still not successfully relaxing the upper body on every attempt, thus still muscling the bar a bit.
Worked up to 35kg and did a few at that weight. Much easier than they were last week. I moved up to 37.5kg and made 4 attempts, but couldn't quite get it. I'm just not dropping fast enough. I actually had two of them caught overhead, but I couldn't keep my balance since the bar was slightly in front of me. I'll definitely get it next time though.
I don't care. There's no way I'm wearing sensible flats to work.
Right on girl! I'm only 5'3", and sensible flats are for casual fridays.

Today I had the world's most annoying workout. There's this dude who teaches classes at my gym that are supposed to be like boxing conditioning workouts. He is just an annoying guy and a shiteous trainer. Most of his students are housewives and he basically has them "spar" for a while with him and then he has them do crunches and other ab exercises for 30 minutes. He also talks shyte constantly and says really stupid stuff about fitness. He knows nothing. The unfortunate part is he shares the space near the platform and I have to listen to him talk shyte and nonsense while I'm trying to lift. His students are always stepping in front of my platform when I lift, sometimes they start jump roping inches away from me. It just pisses me off.
Today I caught my annoyance on tape. The annoying buzzer going off is his timer. In the second video the really slow loud pounding is one of his students using the "speed" bag. Next time I'm gonna kill someone.

I know what you mean! Most of my friends think I'm a freak. I lift on my own too. Oh at least we can support each other virtually!
